  1. Keith Law might break the internet with his snarkiness over the Bauer/Meyers trades next time he is on the Baseball Today Podcast.
  2. The D'backs certainly had to value at least one of Barney, Laker, Alcantara more than this [expletive] Didi clown. http://i.imgur.com/XNhfI.gif
  3. Olney just tweeted Bauer is going to the Indians. [expletive] [expletive] [expletive] [expletive] [expletive] [expletive]
  4. He'll probably end up on the Lakers along with D. Williams for Gasol and some Laker bench trash....
  5. Is he some sort of fielding god? Because he's absolute horse [expletive] offensively. Doesn't get on base at any sort of great rate, doesn't hit for a great average or hit for any power or steal bases.
  6. God [expletive] Damn it. I wish we could've figured out a way to let AZ dump one of those guys on us, since they seemed hell bent on getting rid of one.
  7. Dusty and Brenneman are reason enough to hope for them to do just as bad as the Cardinals for me. Somehow DB will figure out a way to have his two lowest OBP guys hit 1-2 even if Choo is added
  8. Looks like Choo to the Reds for Stubbs and Gregorius could possibly happen. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/12/reds-indians-talking-shin-soo-choo-trade.html
  9. I keep forgetting he was an All-Star two years ago. He finished that season with a -0.2 bWAR. Has to be one of the worst All-Stars ever. Even worse than Mike Williams? *Cough* Brian Lahair *Cough*
  10. his high school teammate, Cam Luper, is recruiting him hard to go to Texas A&M with him. Foster stopped by the AU athletic complex yesterday to speak with Malzahn, and Foster had the following to say: I think he'll end up at Georgia, A&M, or Auburn. Doesn't A&M have about 60 recruits already? They are in the SEC now, things like numbers and math don't matter
  11. I keep forgetting he was an All-Star two years ago. He finished that season with a -0.2 bWAR. Has to be one of the worst All-Stars ever. Anytime you can give a 32 year old pitcher, who 3 out of the last 4 years hasn't put up a fWAR over 1, a 2 year $10mm contract the season after he loses a starting job on the 22nd ranked pitching staff (going off of fWAR) for a team that lost 83 games, you just gotta do it.
  12. He didn't mean to kill that guy. Brady has been way off target on some of these throws. He's taken some decent hits in this game, Watt's gotten him good a few times right after he's thrown the ball.
  13. Waaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaaaaa! [expletive] Golden Domers Did Joe Morgan write that?
  14. This is utterly baffling. The value of this package and the one they received are at very least even, yet they were only going to give up Myers. Niese is under control long term and a good #3 while Wheeler is an extremely good pitching prospect who may have legitimate #1 upside. So there's that deal that was reportedly turned down. I think they also asked for a Dickey for Myers swap that was rejected. Anderson for Myers was rejected. Lester for Myers was rejected, too, I think. There must be something rotten about Myers that front offices aren't thrilled about. Dickey for Myers seems like the worst of them all for the Royals, including the Tampa trade. Agreed, why the hell would the Mets turn that down? Sandy Alderson is a bigger [expletive] idiot if he turned that down than Moore is for making Meyers available for such an average return.
  15. RGIII only has a sprained ligament(s) in his knee, probably only will miss a week at most. But looks like it's pretty reasonable for him to play this week.
  16. That's what I was also thinking
  17. Yeah but what's left now? There's no more Myers or Odorizzi so outside of Starling and maybe some of their pen arms, what can they really offer? RHP Yordano Ventura, Starling, OF Jorge Bonafacio and SS Adalberto Mondesi are probably their top 3 prospects now. Not counting Zimmer who can't be traded. Barney + Dejesus/Soriano and we pay all the salary for Starling and Ventura, then. :D
  18. If only Garza was healthy. Probably could've gotten Myers for him in some sort of package.
  19. Maples Paniagua Vitters
  20. He might not play, he's out again tonight.
  21. RGIII appears to have hurt his leg/knee pretty bad
  22. Assuming he stays healthy he's definitely going to get more than CC. I'd guess 6-7 years for 180-200
  23. Gruden is a [expletive] clown, but he would be a great guy to bring in to replace Lovie. He'd work wonders on the offense and help out Cutler.
  24. Agreed, assuming they sign similar deals I'd rather have him than Dempster. With the SP market dwindling and Greinke still out there it looks like Jackson could wind up taking only a 3 year deal.
  25. Cano apparently won't give the Yankees a discount after the year when he becomes a FA. IF Theo/Jed decide next offseason is the one to add some big FA's I would absolutely love to add him. I've always been a huge fan of Cano, we could either move Barney and he could play 2B or he could be our option for 3B. He'll be 30 next season and 31 during the season he'd be added. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/good-chance-cano-bolts-bronx-season-source-article-1.1215963
