    Injuries and poor plate discipline seem to be the most obvious answer. He swung at a lot of bad pitches and didn't make a lot of contact, and didn't take many walks. We'll probably see him again, though. But his walk rates were pretty good in the minors...? So you're saying we should take a flyer........?

    Bucks sold for $550 million with a stipulation they have to stay in MKE, pending league approval.

    I think I'd be pleased with any of Jackson, Aiken, Rodon, or Kolek at that pick at this point. Jackson seems most likely, of course... I'm iffy on Rodon given his past medical issues, his struggles/inconsistent stuff last season now being linked to shoulder problems and his struggles/inconsistent stuff this season. Yeah I have reservations about him as well. I think my top 4, don't really have a preference, are Beede, Jackson, Aiken, Kolek.

    Yeah, I'm not going to get too upset if Hendricks gets passed over for someone else coming up this year when his ceiling is probably something like Randy Wells

    Except the small differences make it difficult to rebuild through free agency and the draft. The intent was to curb spending by the big boys, but the unintended consequences have rewarded teams for not trying. The new CBA sort of rewards the status quo. It rewards being the best at judging talent. Enlighten me. Guessing he's talking about since spending on the draft and international free agency is capped teams need to do a better job of identifying talent since they are limited on what they can spend and thus the quality/quantity of players they can add every year is minimized.

    Giffey couldn't stay in front of randle if handle were wearing snowshoes UK will regret not going to him more After watching the last two games UK played idk why they don't run more designed plays for Randle. Like cuts/rolls coming around one of the elbows towards the hoop, or guys setting screenings for him around the FT line to curl off of. Once he gets that momentum going and a guy on his hip he is nearly impossible to stop

    It appears Javy may be ready to go on a Soriano like run with squaring up the ball so well and clearly seeing it well lately

    Didn't we, supposedly, offer Cespedes a 6 year deal (I think higher AAV than the A's) but he wanted a shorter deal so he could get to his 2nd (and presumably) more lucrative contract faster and we just wouldn't go down to fewer years?
