  1. I like the idea of going after Cuddyer as a bench bat, occasional LF/RF/1B starter and possible stop gap until Bryant/Russell get called up after a month. Valbuena, Coghlan and Rugginao gives us a pretty versatile bench and the fact we have 3 guys that can play SS on a given day (Russell, Castro, Baez) we don't necessarily need another IF other than those 3+Valbuena as all the spots are covered. It would be a pretty nice advantage to have a guy like Cuddyer off the bench when everyone is here. Also get a better backup catcher than John [expletive] Baker, please.
  2. I really want him up now and think he'd do fine, but I could see them wanting to keep him in Iowa for a while yet to get a few more ab's and make sure he's completely healthy (though that could be accomplished at the MLB level). He does only have about 130 PA between AA and AAA.
  3. Huh? MILB site has him at 1-2 with a BB and no K
  4. Guys, these questions have already all been answered http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51KK6idxPoL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg
  5. Dodgers acquire the artist formally known as Fausto Carmona
  6. I find it easier, since he isn't striking out every AB like I expected him to. Yeah, only 3 in 10 abs so far. I'd be completely fine if he stays at that rate the rest of the season.
  7. A unknown team has claimed Hamels on waivers, fwiw
  8. Coghlan and Ruggiano aren't bad 4/5 OF to have for next year.
  9. Olt, Ramirez and who's the last one? Veras?
  10. gave them to whom? I think it's poor grammar, think he means Cubs were given the rights

  13. Please be Jeter :beg:
  14. O/U next Friday we get an article, probably from Kaplan, about how Javy isn't ready, immature, doesn't play the right way, Theo/Jed's plan is a complete and utter failure, etc?
  15. My list starts and stops with Stanton and Trout for whom I'm willing to trade those guys for.
  16. Bryant with BB #2 and Soler k's
  17. Been saying it for a while but I think Carlos Gomez with more power and less SB+Defensive value is a good comp.
  18. Don't think I didn't realize that. My post was more along the lines of which of these dudes is going to join Rizzo in being a huge badass. Oh I know, just wanted to point out that we already have a really good young player/remind everyone how awesome Rizzo has been this year. Already having Rizzo also mitigates the need a bit on how big of badasses Baez/Bryant/Soler/Russell need to become immediately to start putting a competitive team out there.
  19. Just wanted to post, our 24 year old 1B is likely going to come close to 5 fWAR this year. He's at 3.6 now.
  20. You're calling her Javy, right?
  21. I'd go 2nd or 4th Alcantara Baez Rizzo Castro Valbuena Castillo Coghlan RF or Alcantara Castro Rizzo Baez Valbuena Castillo Coghlan RF
  22. Anything under 40 would make me happy, tbh. Yeah, I was going to say if he stays under 40% the rest of the year I won't be overly worried. If he stays in the low-mid 30s I actually would be pretty impressed/excited.
  23. Depends, now that we have middle infield jam at the MLB level we may trade Castro
