Didn't we open at home at night against the Cardinals last year? -
I believe WGN doesn't broadcast any nationals games anymore, just local. Since you have DirecTv you probably are getting the free preview of extra innings and that's why you get FSN Arizona right now.

Almost 70 pitches thru 4 with the top of the order leading off next inning, I like our chances of getting to the bullpen early again.

Hammel's 2-seamer/sinker doesn't seem to have any vertical drop at all and is just moving horizontally, the slider/cutter tho has been great.

It's def quicker as in he absolutely should be 100% by ST next year if not a little sooner unlike NFL/NBA where about a year from now guys still might not be 100% ready. Didn't Victor Martinez tear some stuff in his knee? He may be a guy to check in to his recovery time.

All this means to me is that IF he's lost for the year and IF some combination of Soler/LaStella/Szczur/Baez/McKinney/Almora/etc. can't do a satisfactory job replacing him then we just have to have Josh Reddick thrown in the Sonny Gray trade and maybe have to expedite it's execution to late June/early July instead of at the deadline.

Ray walked 3.45 per 9 last year, which would've been 8th worst in the league if he qualified. So good luck with that tonight, Robby.

I'd prefer just putting Soler in LF to begin with and letting him sink or swim and if he fails go with Bryant in LF with a Baez/La Stella platoon at 3B.
