  1. It's Butters world, we're just livin' in it
  2. I wonder if they would look to piggy back him with someone if/when some of the rotation guys who are hurt start coming back. McCarthy will obviously be on a tight leash when he comes back so maybe him and Urias piggy back start for the season come July.
  3. Also induct Butters into the Game Thread Starters Hall of Fame. Unanimous first ballot selection
  4. Part of the reason his innings totals are so low is because he had to have some weird surgery, right? I want to say it was an eye injury, it wasn't anything arm/shoulder related.
  5. He's supposed to be back in the next few weeks. Assuming it doesn't look like the knee injury affected him, he's def high on my list.
  6. Moustakas has a torn ACL which occurred in a collison with Gordon in which Gordon broke his wrist.
  7. He probably only has 1 inning left and will only go 5. He's at 81 pitches through 4
  8. I think storms are possible, if not probable, every day.
  9. Those Carolina blue Jordan XI's he has on may be more valuable than that car
  10. When did the D'Backs get Michael Bourn??
  11. Jim Bowden, who's somehow a worse armchair/columnist GM than he was a real life GM and also has a haircut so bad that its only rival is Mark Davis, has a column today saying Jose Bautista would be a target for us and we are the #1 landing spot for him at the deadline if made available. Okay, Jim.
  12. I meant using him as a main piece for a good reliever, Miller was just an example. I agree he's going to cost more than just Jeimer. As for starting pitching Jeimer alone isn't going to net much, he might not even be enough to be the main piece get a James Shields level pitcher.
  13. I doubt they care at all about his service time, I'm guessing he's been held down since they have like $1 billion worth of pitchers they are paying that they want to give shots to first but they are all mostly dead now.
  14. Treat these fools like the negative run differential team that they are
  15. The beauty of him, especially once his glove became a non-issue, is that teams will be interested in him so long as he's not [expletive] the bed. He just has such as an interesting profile as a switch hitter with a good eye, contact, power potential, and the ability to play a non-1B IF position. He had aloooooooooooot of fans in the AFL, and every org has eyes out there. Even good timing with ST...I'd bet the Yankees love him if there was any way to confirm that hunch. I agree, it would be awesome if he could be the main/most significant piece in a Miller trade.
  16. they should at least be in the hunt for the division most of the year, no? Yeah, that division is pretty meh. Other than Minnesota I expect the Tigers, Indians, Royals and Sox to all be within 5-7 games of each other at seasons end.
  17. Jeimer's biggest value to us is in a trade so it's good to see him getting on track.
  18. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQuRHWAhVgp0M_rd5tm7fvgx6q4byEzAVokQLr1jQzKa7Ew0VbP David will no doubt crush me with his claws for this, but who the [expletive] is the goober top row middle and the geezer to the right of him? I want to say middle dude is Randy Wells... Is the top right Koyie Hill? Idk who either of those guys are either.
  19. Well I think this game puts to bed the debate over who's the real MVP Butters or Arrieta. It's clearly Butters
  20. Those are some pretty half ass bunt attempts by Molina
  21. La Stella should be credited with the loss if we lose this game
