  1. Do you send Hendricks out for 1 more? Or PH here coming up?
  2. Georgie is donging this dude this inning

  4. If this does get rained out and they don't schedule a DH the next 2 days it will be funny if there is a make up game and we send a roster of Montgomery, Zastrynzy, Patton, LaStella, Coghlan, Baez, Almora, Montero, etc. to Colorado in September to make up the game.
  5. Yeah, I posted that in the general cubs thread. Great news indeed. It would be ideal for both hm and Rondon to get a good 1-2 weeks at the end of the year of tune up outings before the playoffs.
  6. Strop was apparently throwing off of flat ground yesterday already
  7. Hey anything to get Hendricks a start over Lackey in the playoffs, at least the DS.

  9. Seems like the stupid air there would effect him just like it would anyone else. I just remember reading somewhere awhile ago that the Rockies actively look for sinkerball pitchers to fit their environment. Guessing because there isn't as much movement on it compared to a curve or even a slider/2 seamer. That said, a sinker that doesn't sink as much especially for a pitcher who isn't acclimated to pitching at Coors will lead to weak contact ground balls being turned into hard hit fly balls so who knows. I don't think that worked, I think they have shifted to acquiring pitchers who throw really hard.
  10. Russell is really starting to put it together, he's going to be sooo good
  11. 30 seconds might be the longest interval he's ever spent on a treadmill regardless of a knee injury
  12. Assuming Fowler isn't brought back, which I think is more likely than not barring another offseason nobody pays him, I don't think it will be hard to get Soler, Schwarbwr, Contreras, Baez, and Heyward all 400-500 abs next year and then Almora/backup OF/CF 200-300 given the versatility of them and lineup flexibility Joe shows to employ. And it's not like some of those guys shouldn't be shielded anyways Baez vs RHP, Schwarber/Heyward vs LHP and defense for Schwarbs, and maybe some RHP and defense for Soler and Contreras so it's likely u don't even want some of them reaching 500 or more PAs anyways.

  14. Or you'd want juicy OBP in front of the guy who walks or puts the ball in play 85-90% of the time
  15. Personally, I think his key flaws are mitigated significantly if he can be a DH, hence him ideally having decent value despite those flaws after finally a sustained stretch of hitting. What kind of value are you getting for a DH only? Seriously asking, seems like you'd be lucky to get an Odorizzi level talent or else would have to take a gamble on a injured guy coming back with upside like Garrett Richards
  16. You guys sure are pointing out a lot of flaws for an asset you want to bring something of value of back with. The answer is keep them all, spend money and prospects on acquiring pitching.
  17. That's, that's not good [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. As good a time for a bump than any, posted in May
