  1. Zach Britton to the DL with a left forearm strain. Good thing Buck saved those bullets in him in the WC game last year.
  2. The only bad thing about this game we should care about not going our way is Cole got the win and thinks he's great again. But maybe it's a long con thing where we gave him a false sense of security and will dong him to death in the foreseeable starts
  3. What an annoying game. Despite not a ton of great contact we are still getting on base a horsefeathers load so it's only a matter of time
  4. Well the Reds have 6 relievers with a 0.00 ERA, and the pen hasn't given up a single HR yet (after giving up over 100 last year) Yeah, well both teams still horsefeathering suck. The Reds won't leave next weekends series against us with a positive RD
  5. The Reds and Twins are first and second in the league in run differential, because that makes sense
  6. This is dumb. He's out of the game if he isn't going for the win
  7. Hopefully the bullpen is getting loose, Anderson doesn't have it and Joe better not try to push it so he gets the win.
  8. That would've been off the scoreboard if it was a few more feet to the right. Holy god Addy
  9. I'd say that play is made much more often than not. I agree Ehh, his body hit the wall at nearly the exact same time the ball was first going into his glove. That's a tough play that a lot of guys probably have the ball fall out or even let up before the wall.
  10. yeah but the play is dead once they call him out right? They can't allow anything that happens after that to count when the Cubs were treating it like the play is over. Did they call him out? They must have. On a side note, that was a tough play for Schwarbs, he makes the play if he doesn't crash into the wall. His defense has been solid thus far, no complaints here. Yeah he's been fine. That was a hard play, a lot of guys don't make it. Bad luck more than anything.
  11. if he circled the bases yeah but the play is dead once they call him out right? They can't allow anything that happens after that to count when the Cubs were treating it like the play is over. I think the umps get some discretion on a play like that no matter what
  12. Yeah even if he can get to 5-7% BB guy that would be huge. I don't think he's necessarily "impatient" at the plate, he's just so awesome at making contact, even on shitty pitches, that he swings a bit too much. Hopefully facing more quality pitching will make him into a more patient hitter as he certainly seems to have the eye of a disciplined hitter.
  13. Wait, how? My app is telling me I'm blacked out. I think you have to use your cable provider subscription to watch. Not MLB TV if you are in market.
  14. Technically, but it wasn't a straight steal. Ball in dirt that got away from Grandal and he tried to go and got thrown out and it took a perfect throw.
  15. Hector had a MRI on his knee but sounds like nothing serious. Probably will be back over the weekend.
