I think it was Myers, which is kinda a weird relay throw for the 1B to be taking there. Usually it's the 2B or SS on a ball in that area to a non-home plate throw. -

If neither Russell or Heyward are available then you only have a 2 man bench(Montero & TLS), and both are lefties with at least 2 more plate appearances left. I would've been alright with Arrieta hitting though. That's right..... but yeah Arrieta hitting would've been a better option or even letting one of the other starters go up and bunt since Lester can't do that really.

Are you asking [Eloy by himself] vs [schwarber, Cease, Jeimer & Zagunis]? No, pretty much just Schwarber vs Eloy as I'd assume the ancillary pieces would be similar (Cease, Jeimer, Zagunis, Caritini, Zas I guess, Clifton, etc.)

As part of this exercise, would you rather include Eloy in a deal or do something like Schwarber, Cease, Jeimer and Zagunis for Archer and Dickerson/Souza (to take over LF/OF role Schwarber leaves open)?

I'd go back and forth on it but at the end of the day I probably trade Eloy for him, if his medicals (and whatever else they look at) check out. Of any other reasonable/available targets out there I don't think there's another pitcher out there I'd trade him for. I don't think I'd trade him for Stroman, I would've traded him for Sale.

I know Dexter, amongst others, already wear them but the Jordan 12s David Price is wearing tonight made me realize every player should be required to wear them in their teams color scheme.

No Bryant again today, hopefully there isn't a injury there. The meatball in me hopes its punishment for not making that play in the 5th last night, because that will show him. LaStella playing third should be a thing never allowed, he's nearly as bad there as Montero is at catcher and he probably doesn't doesn't even get a glove on the ball Bryant messed up last night

Yeah you can always point to a few things in an individual baseball game but that one seem magnified. We easily could've won that one like 6-2 with some easy luck switched. Arrieta and Montero defense in the first, Bryant and Monter on defense in the 5th, then just even half the hard hit balls finding holes.

You beat me, I put it in the other thread too. I bet Boston trades something for George. Brown and maybe some future picks that aren't 3 or NJ's next year. They are so loaded. I don't think they trade for George without getting a strong commitment he's re-signing. I think it's Butler they are going to target and either Heyward or sign and trade for Blake.
