  1. “Hey guys, I hope we aren’t peaking too soon.” -one of the scared ninny’s on here who needs to shift their fears from the VB’s to something else
  2. So good to see him doing that on a pitch he’s been being attacked on since the weekend. When he goes oppo like that it usually mean he’s getting locked in too
  3. Damn, thought that was dropping. Ball really carried for a 1/2 swing
  4. You guys have seriously never heard the phrase about popping a bottle of champagne? When you add champagne it makes sense. I just though it was some corny Midwest thing. I can assure you it's not a Midwest thing to think popping bottles means to clock someone over the head with a beer bottle. It means to open champagne/celebrate
  5. You guys have seriously never heard the phrase about popping a bottle of champagne? you seem to be confused, too Yeah what the hell
  6. Why not just win tonight and tomorrow and celebrate? Doesn't matter what the Brewers do then. Well that's what they'd do, and no one would really care that the Brewers lost 20 minutes earlier and officially clinched it for the Cubs. Even though they start ~30 min earlier it’s not a guarantee they finish first. Especially with potentially shitty pitching on both sides, could take longer to get done. Counsell is still gonna manage like a playoff game and the Reds pitching sucks so there could be a lot of runs and pitching changes.
  7. Oh yeah, idk how I missed that. That one is a guarantee for all 4 to be played. I bet we get the 2nd game in terms of time, with one of the AL series going earliest.
  8. Assuming no injuries or whatever I kinda the rotation to go Arrieta Game 1, Quintana Game 2, Hendricks Game 3, Lester Game 4, Arrieta Game 5. Hendricks/Lester both pitch better at Wrigley, having both them going at home to either clinch or extend the series I like too and Quintana seems to pitch better on the road (or at least his 2 best starts were on the road). And assuming health I like Arrieta the most for 2 games with how he's been going.
  9. Only Monday Oct 9th is a day all 4 series would be going on at once (both AL series would have to hit 4 games). Other than that it's just the two series in each league each day. EDIT: Friday the 6th everyone plays guaranteed, I missed that. But yeah with Dodgers-D'backs both being West Coast time I'm guessing we get the earlier start time for the most part (which is what usually like 4:15 or 5:15 CT)? Here's the schedule, FYI http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/page/playoffs17_schedule/2017-mlb-playoff-schedule
  10. I'm kinda shocked they saved that much. Yeah he must just really of wanted out/wanted to go play with one of his buddies (Carmelo OKC, CPS HOU, or Lebron Cavs).
  11. The Packers might just be very average
  12. Let him go for it, but have someone ready. We will clinch before his next start so he can either go like 3 innings then and/or have his start pushed back
  13. I do think there's something to this, everyone pick a player to incredulously hate on the rest of the year. I call Rizzo, that 'can't hit 40 HR in a season to save his life' fraud of a franchise player Justin Wilson should turn in to Andrew Miller in no time with the hate I’ve spewed on him
  14. 2 of the worst throws to 2B you’ll see from willy today. Surprising
  15. Heyward’s ability to hit the ball to LF 5ish feet short of the wall is impressive
