    I think it’s mostly fair. The teams that should get in typically do by winning their division the WC teams should have some “disadvantage” by playing a coin flip game. If they don’t think it’s fair, win your division.

    Yeah, a lot of national guys suck, but complaining about them is a big part of the process, and accepting them is how you get playoff pageantry. Yep. It's part of what makes it different and special for me. The local Len and JD broadcast feels very routine after 6 months and 162. Yeah it’s all part of it, TBS graphics really suck to me though. The scoreboard on the screen seems small and even though I usually love having a K-zone tracker I don’t like theirs. Oh well, it is what it is but just don’t like it.

    MLB Network just did a live look in, in Wrigley and Jake was throwing on flat ground in RF just short of the warning track to a catcher so that’s good to see. He was doing a windup and stretch while throwing too, not just catch.

    With Jake pushed all the way to 4 I’d be shocked if Lackey doesn’t make the roster as the emergency starter for that game because it tells me they aren’t certain or comfortable Jake is where he needs to be health wise.

    I think what we currently have is perfectly fine and doesn't need change. It's trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist but trying to make a thing a thing like the idiots on ESPN always talking about during games pace of play things like limiting mound visits (like making a game 2 min shorter is going to improve anything). That being said, I'm fine with it staying the same, but if there's a change my fix would be to shorten the season 5-8 games, keep the season the same length calendar wise, add in 1-2 extra off days during the regular season for everyone then make the WC round best of 3 and the DS a best of 7. WC gets 1 off day between games 2 and 3 but then the DS starts the day after game 3.

    It's probably more than one case but could see Maitan being one of the main guys they pulled shenanigans with. They were oddly connected to him/had him agreed to really early and it was a given he'd just sign there.

    No idea when announced but I bet we get the 2nd game Friday (so like 3:45-4:15) and the early game Saturday so like ~4:30.

    If we were to get the D’backs in the NLCS we’d still get home field advantage since we are a division winner, right?

    They started it last year, every game on the last day of the season starts at the same time. Think they hope there's division/WC spots in play to add some drama.
