  1. Almora’s 2 ABs were ass tonight, maybe he’s tired from all the running around last night not getting to balls in the OF and not beating out infield grounders
  2. Muskat tweeted there’s no injury, just a scheduled off day. He’s been extra butt vs LHP too this year. He shouldn’t be an auto start vs them anyways right now.
  3. Hee Seop Choi participated back in 2005 that was the wbc oddball one though. that doesn’t count Yeah I want to say the change happened because the HR leader at the time didn’t make the ASG, somehow,so they changed it to let him in. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly though.
  4. I think they started doing it in the last 2-3 years
  5. Yeah that does make some sense I guess and is a good exercise. It doesn’t seem like there’s a real fit but I’d be down for Happ/Almora (possibly both) for either DeGrom or Snell then add a Dietrich, Jones, etc. This may be a stupid question. Do you do this even if you don’t get one of those players (Dietrich, Jones)? Hypothetically, you play Bote at third and Bryant in Right on days that Baez and Zobrist don’t both play. I could live with that. It helps that Heyward plays a solid center. I say yes Probably, but still would like to add another OF. Preferably a RHH one who could play CF (Maybin?).

  7. This makes no horsefeathering sense [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. It was. We had perfect health and returned Schwarber for a full season and we didn't play anywhere near our potential until after the ASB. The whole rotation got hurt at some point or was pitching through it (everyone had velo drops, Jake, Hendricks and Lackey all hit the DL, I don’t recall Lester but maybe he did?), Russell, Willy, Rondon also had injuries
  9. I wonder if Amaya is one of those extremely inconsistent defenders, because I've seen both a report that he's raw behind the plate, as well as a report that he's advanced defensively as a catcher. Both from this year. I haven't been able to catch enough games to form an opinion on my own yet. Maybe it’s both? He’s still raw overall but advanced for age/level??
  10. The only thing the national media seems to be more wrong about than judging our trade needs/targets is judging that our team is in fact, actually good.
  11. Dumb win, oh well. We were due for one but CY Hendricks is back so who really cares
  12. How the horsefeathers didn’t Almora get to that though, seriously????
  13. Call Bryant up tomorrow and DL Rizzo. Just tell him to go away for a while and hit a reset for after the break.
  14. Only 2 hits and we still have this dickbag’s pitch count up to 70+ through 4. Very #SuperCubs like
  15. If we faced a lineup full of pitchers and Billy Hamilton would we ever win??
  16. That was awful, they’re lucky this game is still tied
