  1. Well that’s a break, Heyward was out by like 12 feet if that gets fielded cleanly
  2. At the least get Javy out after his next AB, hopefully we still have a multi run lead and let him go get some treatment before having to jump on the plane tonight.
  3. horsefeathers off ump, not a strike and he called a pitch in the same spot like 3 pitches earlier a ball.
  4. Nah. I’m glad he’s doing well and getting results, but he’s still basically the same shitty hitter he’s always been and like he was when he had that hot 1-2 months last year. The underlying stuff is still ugly (still not taking walks, still not hitting the ball hard often enough, still hitting too man GBs, still K’ing too much for being a contact guy, etc.).
  5. I would assume Strasburg looks at his arm and stares in to the distance similarly every day he pitches knowing that another injury is lurking around the corner.
  6. Kyle Hendricks and Taylor Davis ended them. Technically Javy Baez after the oppo Dong off Lackey and Schwarbs with the scoreboard Dong ended them in 2015.
  7. Descalso has been dealing with an ankle issue (I think or some sort of leg issue) for like 2 weeks now. He was basically only a PH for the last homestand. He’s not that good or important enough to not IL when horsefeathers like that happens to him. He allegedly is finally healthy now, Bote still has a literal broken toe too.
  8. Alright, time to start horsefeathering again
  9. Pick any lineup in the league and make the best four hitters either suck or be injured, and that lineup isn’t going to be very good. We are also missing Zobrist, who isn’t a top 4 player on the team and wasn’t that great to start the year (he still was getting on base), but he still kinda can make things go with the offense/lengthen it and is a year removed from a .355 wOBA and 123 wRC+.
  10. Its mid May.. gotta be fairly happy with the results so far. Rarely does anyone have a big lead at this point. the astros do and they piss me off i'm not really trashing the cubs, i'm just once again sharing my extreme aggravation over the brewers The Astros division is just so bad, must be nice. Selig never should’ve moved the VBs out the the AL. But he did to make their revenue increase with a dozen or so home games against the Cubs every year.
  11. Oh well, go win 2 of 3 in Washington and make this a .500 road trip
  12. Somehow get 2 guys on and hit a Dong then close it out, idiots.
  13. It can’t be more than what, a 1.5 hour plane ride to Washington from Cincy? They should get in by 3, night game tomorrow, that’s not that big of a deal. They can sleep in until like 2-3 pm if they want.
  14. I’m fine handling a star player like this and not IL’ing him for ~10 days if it truly only is a 2-4 day thing. But I have my doubts the staff is handling this injury properly, they have no track record to believe it’s this short a thing and I’m worried this is a lingering thing that he sucks for 2-3 weeks trying to play through it after he comes back then is finally IL’d and we essentially lose him for a month vs just making sure it’s 100% taken care of with a 10 day trip right now.
  15. 12 of their 17 series are vs teams with winning records going in to the ASB and like 3 of the sub .500 team series are vs the Reds who are due for a bit of a bounce. most of this is because the pirates (-47 differential) are 21-19 right now The Reds are at a +29 RD and under .500 and they have 3 series vs them. So that might even out.
  16. they've had the 2nd hardest schedule in baseball, which is the point So we’ve had the hardest schedule (going off the previous post of how we've had the harder schedule to date) and we are better?
  17. This is a weird take. It’s hard to have a super efficient game when you have 11 Ks... $20m a year to be a 5-6 inning pitcher That’s basically what Lester has been for us, that seems to work out fine.
  18. 12 of their 17 series are vs teams with winning records going in to the ASB and like 3 of the sub .500 team series are vs the Reds who are due for a bit of a bounce. most of this is because the pirates (-47 differential) are 21-19 right now Eh, the schedule isn’t that soft. Plus they’re division games. We got swept in a 4 game series in Cincy last year and baseball happens. They have plenty of toughish series going in to the ASB. Side note. Have you checked our last week of June until last week of July schedule??? We go Reds, Rats, White Sox, ASB, Rats, Reds, Padres, Giants. With 3 off days + the ASB. It all evens out. We’re the better team.
