  2. Hopefully we moved him to add Holt as one of the last bench players.
  3. the players can't really do anything without front office assistance, and front office personnel can't ignore a one year suspension. That’s fair, the players still were in on it and carried it out. They knew it was a wrong in all likelihood and could’ve pushed back. I think the players involved at least should’ve got 10-20 games. They could’ve staggered the suspensions too so they weren’t all out at once. I also suppose they wanted the tread lightly around the players on this with the rocky relationship currently between MLBPA and MLB and the upcoming CBA.
  4. Doesn’t seem harsh enough. No players punished is ridiculous, they were complicit, really not de-incentivizing them not to cheat still. The fine and draft picks loss should’ve been harsher, should’ve had an IFA loss component to it too. Most teams would take this punishment for a title, imo.
  5. SF pass rush is much better than Seattle', should cause some problems for GB. Agree 100%, but wasn’t comparing the two lines, nor referring in my post to pass rush. Just think the Packers OLine is better all around (pass blocking and run blocking in this case) than the Vikes dogsh!t line. Bulaga was just sick and not hurt, right? He should be fine to play next week?
  6. This is wild
  7. Titans-Texans AFC Championship, nobody wants that
  8. Was hoping Donaldson ended up there for the sake of keeping better options open for a KB trade since Texas doesn’t have the prospects to deal for him.
  9. It’s competitive because every team sucks. This isn’t just for the BIG but all of college basketball. This has to be one of the worst years ever talent wise. There isn’t a good team. It’s a spectacular collection of mediocrity this year.
  10. Lamar Jackson is the Kershaw of QBs, my column
  11. Yeah, but he’s a shill too, to be fair. I don’t get the shill vibe from him or his site. He’s just kinda dumb and a fun loving fanboy. It doesn’t help that he surrounds himself by as dumb or dumber writers other than Cubs Prospect guy (Bryan Smith I think). Part of me thinks that’s by design so he appears smarter if he has idiots around him.
  12. Wait huh? He was the one that reported it earlier today. Is he saying he misspoke or did he hear something new since his first report? One of the idiots at Bleacher Nation misheard or misunderstood what he said and ran with it from what I gather. Levine allegedly said he’s heard the Cubs have had internal talks of moving Bryant to CF with Bote going to 3B and then he followed it up with saying he could confirm the Passan report from this week that we are interested in Arenado/have checked in, but he didn’t say the two moves were linked. Someone at BN took that to mean KB to CF and a trade for Arenado, which wasn’t what he said or meant at all.
  13. Ah well. Was fun to get excited for a minute, even if it was such an outlandish idea. Back to being miserable. https://twitter.com/juliedicaro/status/1216118596969140236?s=21
  14. Idk if he is either, just a type of guy to target. MLB ready, don't know what he is. Can be thrown in the mix to start. Let’s just call it Pivetta then, I’ve mentioned a Q for him swap earlier in the offseason.
  15. So to make this crazy idea all work it would have to take something like the following. Assuming we still need to get under the LT and assuming we are currently ~$3 million over: Trade 1: Willy, Bote, Heyward, 2-4 of non Davis, Nico, Amaya, Marquez prospects for Arenado. That's $30.5 million going out vs $32.5 million coming in so we are now $5.5 million over the LT. Trade 2: Chatwood, ~$3 million and prospects going out for nothing coming back, so let's say we save $9 million. $3.5 million under now. Trade 3: Q for someone like Griffin Canning, Pivetta, etc that can be in competition for a rotation spot. This saves $11.5 million so $15 million under. FA signings: We need a catcher so let's go Russell Martin and say it takes $4 million. That gives us ~$11 million to add some sort of infielder, and OF'er and some rotation depth. I think we could do that. Probably can add 1 of Pillar, Dyson, Souza for the OF spot, Holt for IF spot, then someone like Alex Wood, Harvey, Cahill, Chacin, Walker, Nova, etc. (not inspiring but whatever it's "depth") So the 26-man would look something like: Position Players: 1. Vic C 2. Russell Martin C 3. Rizzo 1B 4. Nico 2B/IF/OF 5. Holt IF/OF 6. Happ IF/OF 7. Javy SS 8. Arenado 3B 9. Schwarber LF 10. Bryant CF/OF/3B 11. Souza/Pillar/Dyson OF 12. Descalso/Kemp IF/OF 13. Almora OF Pitchers: 1. Lester 2. Yu 3. Hendricks 4. Mills 5. Wood/Chacin/Walker/etc 6. Kimbrel 7. Wick 8. Ryan 9. Wieck 10-13: Q trade guy, Cotton, Rea, Adbert, Winkler, Morrow, Maples, Mekkes, Phlam, Rule 5 guy etc.
  16. I’m 100% buying in to this, I don’t care
  17. If he wins that I think the Over/Under on number of seasons Hader has left in Milwaukee is 1.5 Yeah I think they move him if he wins by next offseason
  18. That’s a large gap, especially being the first year and how it affects future years [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. What the horsefeathers is this?? horsefeathering doofus
  20. Low hanging fruit but $1.5749 million too much IMO. Yes I'm suggesting that he be paid $100 for his services this year. He should have to pay the Cubs to play
  21. Or alternatively Bryant 2015-2017: .389 Bryant 2018-2019: .371 His wOBA from 2018-19 is top 20 in MLB still
  22. Tuffy Gosewich is definitely going to hit like Mike Trout for 3-5 weeks for them this year, isn’t he? https://twitter.com/mlbrostermoves/status/1215398480816021504?s=21
  23. I think this more means they’re bringing Ozuna back or signing Castellanos more than a Arenado trade
  24. Yeah I’m thinking Liberatore’s value is being a bit overblown if this is all he returned. The Rays aren’t dumb.
