It would be a three way tie again and I don't see how the US could win that tiebreaker. As Brian said if we lose a 1-0 shutout we'll get in due to giving up 4 runs vs. Japan's 5. That's right -- only runs allowed against the teams the US is tied with would matter, so the 7 runs Korea put up on the US don't count -- thank goodness. The US better just go out tomorrow and eliminate any discussion of these tie-breaks and rip Mexico a new one.

If Korea beats Japan, all the US has to do is win their game -- no tie-break is needed to decide who advances. If Japan beats Korea.... we need that to be a high-scoring game.

Its obvious now that DLee needs to start for the US team to win. We needed to counter the Lee power of the Koreans with our own Lee.

Yeah what's the deal with that? Last team I expected him to sign with. Great signing for the Cardinals -- they already have two great wide outs in Boldin and Fitzgerald, but struggled to run the ball much. They should have a much more balanced attack in '06 and if they improve their defense enough, they should be able to challenge Seattle in the NFC West.
