    I agree -- with the offense they have, they just need to assemble a league average defense to be very competitive. I think AZ will make the playoffs this year.

    Jones can't be dealt till June anyway and I actually think you would find a market for him -- I believe a significant portion of his deal was in the signing bonus.... as long as the Cubs didn't try to pass that cost off on the acquiring team, I'm sure there would be a few GMs interested in JJ @ $3-4mil/year. Didn't the Royals make him the same 3 year / $15mil offer or even offer him more?

    I second that. I'd also give them Boise. Just promote the good players to Daytona first :D I would give them the entire farm -- let them go to town picking whomever they want.

    According to an article in NY Newsday, the Marlins offered Dontrelle Willis to the Mets straight up for David Wright a few weeks ago, but talks went no where. Link So much for Loria claiming all the trade Willis/Cabrera talk was false. Jeff Loria is the Angel of Death board reference>

    My immediate reaction to the Lofton steal last night was "walk Drew" since his run didn't matter anyway..... maybe it was just a gut feeling, but I would rather have seen a Williamson vs. Kent matchup in that situation. Anyone else think the same thing at the time?
