    i think you're in teh same camp as me on this...i don't hate vin scully at all. i just think he's a senile boring old man as an announcer, and, for whatever reason, the whole baseball world pretends he isn't. Yeah, the guy was one of the greats, and has a great voice, but most of his announcing is just rambling nonsense at this point and so many people act like he's still at the top of his game. The guy should have retired a long time ago. CUBS WIN. He goes off on such wild tangents during games that you lose track of what is going on.

    Hmm C: Cervelli 1B: Hosmer 2B: Phillips SS: Danny Espinoza 3B: Matt Duffy OF: Braun OF: Carlos Gomez OF Sean Rodriguez SP: Bumgarner Sure, but who manages the team? Baker? Matheny? Price? Hurdle? Guillen? Hurdle. So he can glare at us every game and call for bad replays.

    Actually this could be fun, name a roster of players we hate the most. I know it would be mostly Cardinals, but still throwing in some guys like Sean Rodriguez.

    So David, whats your solution then? My solution to you thinking that an at bat in a May game against the Padres while in first place by a landslide is somehow going to cause a seismic shift in what theo epstein's front office thinks about a player? I'm not sure. Of course the intelligent thing to do is evaluate the player over time, but individual moments do stick in the memory of people.

    Yeah next off day is Thursday. Coming off a high energy 4 game weekend series with an extra innings ending, they could use a little rest.
