    I second that. After I saw his pic, I didn't even need to look at the others, my mind was made up. And you know what? that's not nearly as scary as he looks up close. They only use non-hd cameras to film him.

    Did Hendry ever say he wanted to stockpile good pitching? :D Do the Phillies have a 4th or 5th starter they can move to the Cubs? I see a Z and Hill for Abreu and that 4th or 5th guy. For an older guy, you sure turned cynical in a big hurry :lol:

    So only strike out pitchers should be awarded the Cy Young? You have very selective reading. Read what I said again. Ken Okay, I did. It reads the same. Then it's either a reading comprehension problem or you don't know what the terms used mean. Good low-strikeout pitchers will throw few balls and walk very few people. as a result, they will have high K:BB ratios. Example: Buehrle, with a 3.75:1 ratio.

    but Neifi is a better hitter from the right side than from the left It won't make any difference in how he's used. The fact that Remlinger is better against RH batters than LH made no difference to Dusty and the fact that Neifi is better against LHP than RHP won't either. If dusty does notice, that will be his reason for giving neifi all the starts.

    I agree. I can understand that Hendry might see a value in Neifi Perez, I just don't see the need to pay him 2.5 per when there weren't other bidders for his services. There is no justification. He is overpaid. But it should be noted that he did not get a raise - in 2005 his base salary was 1 million and he earned 1.5 million in incentives that kicked-in. $3 million (salary+bonus)+incentives>$1+1.5

    I feel sorrier for us Cubs fans, who have to put up with a managment team that's apparently so abysmally stupid that it thinks Neifi Perez is more productive and valuable than Todd Walker. How do you draw that conclusion?? Neifi's just a much smarter businessman, who didn't leave millions on the table like Walker. ... Read what he wrote again. He compared the cubs to other teams, not neifi's business sense to walker's.

    wouldn't that be illegal? that's collusion (not saying it fits the legal def since I don't know it, but that's what it is) if furcal knows, and if furcal doesn't know, hendry should have a chat with furcal directly...
