    That's Harden's final line. Hope to hear good news after the game and also tomorrow. Dempster now in. He threw a scoreless 3rd but had to work around 2 hits. I was hoping to see a pitch count, but it's not in the box score. He faced 8 batters. I guess we'll have to wait for an article from Carrie for a pitch count.

    The Australia/Mexico game is going to be very high-scoring. It's 5-3, top 2nd, bases loaded, 1 out. There has been bad pitching and bad defense and the ball is flying out of there like it's blowing 30 MPH out at Coors.

    I think just go to the "download center" on mlb.com. Download the latest version of flash player and the "nex def" plugin. I believe that's all that's needed. Since the new player isn't out yet, you will need flip-4-mac I believe to view the ST games on the old player. I think there is also a way to watch it using Quicktime (that used to be the only way to watch it on mac) but I'm not sure how to do that.

    I like white hats with red bills. Our HS team (from Missouri) wore them our senior year. We had a black hat with a red bill and a white hat with a red bill. I thought they both looked good.

    The Netherlands is up 3-0 over the Dominican Rep. First inning, but still a big surprise. Of course, Ponson is pitching for the Netherlands...

    This will never happen, and I don't want it to, but it would be more interesting if there was some sort of 8-team tournament after the WS that was like Canada, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela, Dominican, Puerto Rico, and two different regional US teams, like North and South or East and West. Again, there are so many reasons this would never happen, but I just think it would be more interesting than the WBC.

    Really? OK, I'll take it. A 1.000 OBP would be nice... I saw that. I wonder what those plate appearances were like. They had him hitting 7th.

    It reminded me of the time my HS team (I was not a player) played against Hansborough. He could do no wrong. Any contact in his (Griffin's) general area was a Mizzou foul. Oh, and that jump ball call was one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

    he'd probably play. i think jeter is going to play against the new york yankees when team america faces them. F*** YEAH! The chance of Fukudome getting hurt by a pitch is the same no matter what team he plays. Also, there is a lot of hype about Jeter facing the Yankees, so I don't see why this situation would be any different.

    I noticed the Cubs play an exhibition game March 12 against a WBC team. I went to the WBC website and saw that one of the two Asian qualifiers will be the team playing the Cubs. I would imagine if Japan is one of those teams that they would probably have them play against the Cubs because of Fukudome. It would be interesting to see him play against the Cubs while a member of the Cubs.

    See, the problem with us being really good lately is that suddenly I've had this thought in my mind that we might be able to put out a win there, which we all know is probably close to impossible. It's probably not that implausible. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I thought our last two games at AFH have been closer than the ones at Paige Arena. I think one came down to the wire. Still, I'm expecting the place to be a frenzy. And hopefully Marcus morris won't bump a ref this time and have to sit out the last 10 minutes of the game. I think it was 2 years ago Matt Lawrence missed a 3 at the buzzer that would've tied it, although last year you guys won by nearly 20. It's definitely a game I don't have any expectations of winning though, the only way it happens if some combination of great Mizzou shooting and Aldrich or Collins missing a bunch of time with foul trouble goes down. (it's no longer Paige) Why not? Because she's a cheat. So they stripped the title.

I would look to that game two years ago when Lawrence missed the three (my freshman year) as an indication that Mizzou can win there. However, they are a much better team at Mizzou Arena (it's no longer Paige) than they are on the road. They haven't even had many close games at Mizzou.

    As a Mizzou student I say that 12 or 13 is more reasonable for Mizzou, but I wouldn't say that 10 is inexplicable.

    I always think it's cool when guys like Dempster pull pranks. I was looking around for pictures of the Cubs clubhouse and the visitors' clubhouse because they were comparing them during the convention. Anyway, I came across this picture. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that there are Dempster all-star unis in most of the visible lockers. EDIT: Maybe it's not most of the lockers, but you can't really tell if the other ones have them or not.
