  1. All the offense is coming from Theriot and the Soriano, Fuku, Lee part of the order.
  2. In general, Fuku seems to have pitches called strikes on the outside that I see no other hitter in baseball get called on. Lee gets a lot of pitches called strikes that are low. Although, I hate it, it is kind of understandable.
  3. 93 pitches! Now let's get a run or two out of this!
  4. Wow! Fuku takes an outside pitch and it's called a ball!
  5. Most likely he'll be over 90 pitches by the time this inning is over. Sweet!
  6. He's sitting at 81 pitches. Make him work for this next out.
  7. Hallelujah! He can't do anything pretty, but at least the run scored.
  8. Um, in a contact situation you swing the bat as soon as you can get on top of the ball.
  9. If this continues tomorrow he needs to get chucked on national TV and bring some BBTN attention to it.
  10. I'm just more scared that Dempster isn't going to be anywhere near last year. I wasn't expecting the same, but I was hoping for more at the beginning of the year than I am now.
  11. I don't like knocking on ARam, but he has twice pulled an outside pitch for a groundout in two AB.
  12. How about we quit elevating Greene's bat. That's the only way he gets it out.
  13. The only point I am trying to make is that we are not qualified, from this perspective to determine if an umpire if failing. If it was a safe/out call then fine, you can see that. With calling balls and strikes, you can't tell from TV. if you're watching every pitch from the exact same vantage point, you get a pretty good idea if the umpire how the umpire is calling pitches that appear to be 8 inches off the outer part of the plate. even if your vantage point is wrong you can still tell that the umpire is doing his job poorly. You may not be able to definitively tell if each pitch is a ball or strike, but you can tell where some things are in respect to other things. For instance, when Theriot was batting the pitch was right over the line marking the front of the lefty batters box. The pitch to Barden with two strikes was between the plate and the line marking the batters box. They were both in the vertical strike zone easily. Therefore, if the pitch to Theriot is a strike then the pitch to Barden is a strike.
  14. I didn't really understand what Lee was waiting for in that AB. There were pitches to hit.
  15. I would love for Lee to do what he did last time, just not getting under it so much.
  16. Good try Stoney Stoney! Haha. Maybe we can get a break with Fukudome up.
  17. Good to see Dempster making Lohse throw some pitchers before he gives him his out.
  18. It may come off as whining, but when Barden takes strike 3 but it's not called and that leads to a run, it's very frustrating, whining or not.
  19. You can tell that pitches to Theriot were farther outside than pitches to Barden and there is no question on the height, so yes, you can see that.
  20. Moving strike-zone and seeing eye singles. Ridiculous.
  21. Well I didn't think that ball was going to hang up that long.
