Packers two main issues that need to be fixed: 1. Fourth quarter clock management. Although, it seems to be getting better. 2. Special teams. Same as last season.
It only makes sense to let the team in that has sucked for a month and is missing key components to injuries as opposed to the one that has been hot. If the decision was based on their "rivalry," then Manuel really is an idiot.
uh..why? Know a couple of people within their organization. Can you steal their supple of pixie dust? I'd try and steal Pujols 1st. I'd go for the pixie dust, that's what makes his forehead so big.
I didn't think Holliday had that kind of arm. I thought it was plenty deep, but Napoli is slooooooow. Still took a good throw though. Bad slide by the way.
Oops. Didn't know I was feeding a troll. My bad. I couldn't imagine giving a care in the world towards a Cardinals message board if the Cubs were playing in the World Series.
No way to know what would have happened. Sorry. If LaRussa doesn't take Lohse out right this instant, STL won't be leading for much longer. No worries. No way to know, but it's highly unlikely they score at all, much less 4 runs.
2 outs. Nobody on. Cardinals likely don't score any runs that inning if that call is not blown. With 2 outs it is highly unlikely that Napoli gets into a position where feels pressured to throw home.
"I don't want the starting pitcher standing there waiting for a decision to be made in the cold October weather." I'm pretty sure Harrison would have been fine standing on the mound for a few minutes. He'd still be in the game and it would be 1-0.
Would this be the correct place to discuss whether or not the Cubs should be willing to make drastic changes to Wrigley to increase revenue? I used to be on the "no jumbotron ever" bandwagon but would definitely be willing to see one installed on the back side of the bleachers in LF or RF (I would prefer RF) if it's going to make the product on the field better. Also, curious to see what sort of TV deal the Cubs could negotiate whenever their current deal expires.
Trying to remember where I heard this at some point in the last week plus, but I'm pretty sure Selig and most of the owners would rather compensations be minimal for executives leaving for promotions.
A taped interview recorded yesterday with Bob Costas and Bud Selig is currently airing on ESPN. It's pretty good. Costas and Bud are getting into it at times. It's on for another 15 minutes if anybody is interested. MLB Network.
I was out of college, but was pretty baseball dumb. So 9 is what I went with too. I might be giving myself too much credit though. It might really have been a 10. I was pretty excited. *sigh* I was tired of him before the 03 postseason though. I thought he had no clue what he was doing with the pitching staff and couldn't believe he put himself in a position to rely on Estes in such a pivotal late September game. Thankfully Estes fooled us all by fooling the Cincy lineup that evening.
