    I think Murton is way overrated around here but having said that I still think he should be playing the majority of the time. I think the Cubs envisioned a Murton/Floyd platoon all along and when you are a RH hitter you're just not going to get the AB's that a lefty does in a RHP dominated world regardless of Murtons stats against RHP. Old school baseball people think RH hitter against LHP and LH hitter against RHP and no one here is going to change that mindset. But be patient, Floyd will be injured soon enough. Still though, Murton is only a #3 outfielder on a bad team and #4 on a good team. Average speed and below average defense with not much power do not equal superstar.

    I believe NW TN is in the Cardinals broadcast region so you would most likely only get FOX Sports Midwest Cardinal games. You will not get the Cubs on it unless they are playing the Cardinals and then it will be on FOX Sports Midwest unless channel 11 out of STL is carrying. Then you are SOL on all accounts. You can go to the DirecTV website and find out which teams broadcast area you are in.

    Yes, you will get the Cubs games on Comcast Sports without subscribing to EI.

    Admittedly I didn't read all 78 pages of this thread so excuse me if this has been discussed but does anyone think the Cubs might move Soriano to the middle of the order? Sure seems like a waste to me to have a guy with 46 homers hitting leadoff.

    I was following the game from work with Yahoo and it was showing Heilman batting and striking out with 2 on and no outs in the 9th and I thought Willie had lost his mind and must have been letting Heilman bat to bunt! LOL...I didn't hear until later that they used Floyd to PH.

    My biggest problem with Larry is not the injuries but the high walk totals and the high pitch counts in relative few innings. A lot of time we'll see our pitchers at 90 pitches in 5 innings or less. While I'm sure he isn't instructing the pitchers to walk batters it seems all of our pitchers do try to nibble at the corners going for the almighty strikout which leads to the walks and high pitch counts (and high homerun totals after falling behind hitters). I'm willing (because I have no other choice) to wipe the slate clean and see if it's better with Piniella running the show.
