  1. His neck was bothering him. Well that's a crappy way to have his hitting and on-base streaks end. He walked earlier.
  2. K. DP. Well, Pagan just prevented that from happening. Don't doubt the Cubs ability to hit into DP's. Even a 2nd and 3rd situation.
  3. It has nothing to do with luck. It has to do with the lack of proper execution on our part. Lack of proper execution for 99 years is pretty unlucky. :(
  4. We are truly the unluckiest team in baseball. Had the Cubs been batting it would have been a triple play.
  5. HR and RBI clearly the best way to compare. No not really, but when Neifi has been as productive in 49 fewer AB's it says something. No, it doesn't. At all. Sure it does.
  6. Soriano isn't guaranteed another at bat, but only one person needs to get on in the next two innings for him to get one. In other words there is a good chance he won't hit again today. 8-)
  7. HR and RBI clearly the best way to compare. No not really, but when Neifi has been as productive in 49 fewer AB's it says something. Would I rather have Neifi than Murton? No, but Murton isn't nearly as good as the popular opinion on this board thinks he is. and you're basing that on the first month of the 2007 season? No. He's always been overrated here.

  9. It's actually quite an accomplishment to get 4 straight hits and not score a run.
  10. Do we lead the league at getting thrown out at home?
  11. His heart is broken because he has to play for the Cubs. No seriously, is he injured? Neck spasms.
  12. His heart is broken because he has to play for the Cubs.
  13. Oh yeah, Neifi's OPS for May is 1.111
  14. My mistake. I read the totals for the whole year as the last 10 games. Still doesn't make up for his Neifiesque performance thus far.
  15. Murton's put up nearly a 1.000 OPS this month. If you consider .735 nearly 1.000.
  16. Neifi Perez has the same amount of homers and 3 fewer RBI's than Murton in 49 fewer AB's. That "pressing during sparse playing time" excuse is getting old. If he wants to play he needs to stop sucking in every aspect of his game when he does get the chance.
  17. I didn't see much of yesterdays game so I'm not sure about it...but in Z's previous start I remember Len saying a pitch was a fastball...an 89 mph fastball. If that is Z's fastball that is disturbing.
  18. Cubs have a stretch of games where they need to play well? I think I've seen that movie and I'm quite familiar with the ending.
  19. Are you sure he didn't swing and miss?
  20. Jones should never face a LHP again period.
