  1. Going into tonight they were 2nd to last only ahead of Pittsburgh by 7 runs.
  2. Brown's peripherals are....... 10.26 K/9= That's good 2.92 BB/9= a bit high but pretty good 3.66 xFIP= that's solid to good 4.27 FIP= it's not awful 63.1% LOB= well that's 7-10% below where most pitcher sit 15.5 HR/FB%= That's quite high .363 babip= god damn that's high Hard hit%= 48.1% before tonight, god damn He's just giving up tons and tons of hard hit balls so you can't even call the babip or hr/fb% a fluke.
  3. Second fewest runs in MLB going into tonight, but have now put up a season high 12 runs on the Cubs.
  4. Not sure I'd agree. I think they're able to squeeze extra juice out of a lot of guys. The problem is that they're bringing in a lot of guys who aren't all that talented so getting extra out of them makes them serviceable rather than good.
  5. Brown had better not make another start this season and Jed had better be on the phones tonight finding a starter. I still think Brown can be a thing but the Cubs can't afford to deal with him right now.
  6. Kepley at #9, tf? Either BA thinks way way more about Kepley than I do, or they really dislike the Cub farm.
  7. A move I wish the Cubs had made.
  8. Suarez has hit 4 HRs in the last 1.5 games against the Cardinals, he's sitting at 35 now.
  9. With Jed it's almost always, whatever tier you're expecting, you need to realistically go down at least one tier and that's where Jed is shopping. Don't get me wrong, it's worked on a few occasions now especially with Shota and Boyd, but he almost never shops at the top of the market.
  10. I'm gonna keep doing it, It's absurd they've now held the Dodgers to 4 runs over 39 innings.
  11. Still don't think the Cub bullpen is a very high priority at the trade deadline unless it's a crazy arm like Clase/Jax/Miller.
  12. PCA with what looked like a flyout and it lands in the bleachers, crazy.
  13. 84 pitches through 6. I know they wont bring him back out, but I'd be real tempted.
  14. Dbacks looking like they're going to bury the Cardinal's season, up 9-0 after beating the Cardinals 7-3 yesterday.
  15. Please discover the plate discipline that made you exciting last year, thanks.
  16. I wonder if Wiggins could step into the bullpen right now and potentially be a lockdown guy? It wont happen because Horton and Brown will step into that role, but damn.
  17. Nah, that's just GM speak. He can't say, we badly need a top half of the rotation starting pitcher because if he isn't able to land one, he looks really stupid.
  18. It's legitimately absurd how inept the Dodger offense is against the Brewers. In Almost 4 complete games now, 1 of which went to extra innings, the Dodgers have scored 4 runs.
  19. Really nice win out of the break against a Red Sox team that was white hot going into the break. Take one of these next two and move on.
  20. Immediately doesn't work because he's using outdated FV. Anyone who thinks Caissie, Rojas and Ballesteros are 45s is either high and/or delusional.
