  1. I'm really confused by this guy's numbers. Before today's outing he had more walks than K's ,10/9 in 30.2 IP, and he gets more fly outs than ground outs. Is there anything that points to his numbers being sustainable?
  2. Making a pitcher of Piniero's caliber look like a CY candidate is really frustrating.
  3. 57 pitches through 6; that is so far beyond pathetic.
  4. That's a good way to get his pitch count up and Lilly swings at the first pitch.
  5. If Lilly ever figures out how to keep the ball in the park he's going to be a really elite pitcher.
  6. Vitters picks up another single; it's his third hit of the night. This puts him at a .374 avg two points behind the league leader/teammate Josh Harrison. (.376)
  7. If there was ever a time I thought a team might be throwing the game, it would be this one. How does Joel Piniero get through 4 innings with 38 pitches?
  8. I'm really surprised Rasmus didn't bunt; he's god awful against lefties.
  9. Apparently the Cubs have somewhere else to be; Piniero may throw an 80 pitch CG shutout.
  10. It's amazing how many 0-2 and 1-2 hits Harden gives up. For someone who is an elite strike out pitcher it would be nice if he'd actually put people away.
