  1. Last year, Baez @ AA year before, Rizzo @ AAA Rizzo did it in the PCL though, which is hard to take as seriously as what Bryant is doing.
  2. I don't recall ever having a prospect that just day to day killed everything like Bryant does, especially at the AA level.
  3. Jesus, Sandberg. Not that it should matter, because it's a poor managerial move regardless, but didn't he have some sort of arm/shoulder trouble going into the year? He missed the first month of the season due to shoulder issues and has made 9 starts since then. These games include a 133 pitch outing(career high) and back to back games with 125 pitches. Sandberg also had Roberto Herandez throw 99 pitches in a start on May 9th and then come back on May 11th to try and save a game. Cliff Lee has made 10 starts this year, in 8 of those he has thrown at least 100 pitches. In 4 of them has thrown 114 or more including a 128 pitch outing on April 16th. His pitch counts over his last 7 starts. 128,113,89,106,100,114,116.
  4. Interested to see who the Sox pick. They shouldn't have the money to go big.
  5. His swing doesn't translate to in game production.
  6. haha, Gatewood just shafted Vaughn on the handshake.
  7. Who r some of the overslot pitches left? Is Gatewood a better option at this point? Gatto, Reid-Foley, Adams, Varga. Cease and Bukauskas
  8. Cards go Flaherty and a part of me dies inside. Losing Kopech and Flaherty back to back would suck.
  9. Fack, I was starting to hope he would slide.
  10. Poor Gatewood sitting over there by himself.
  11. Touki's curve is probably the single best pitch in the draft ahead of Rodon's sliders. To say Holmes has a better one is absurd.
  12. mlb.com feed died. Anyone else having an issue?
  13. His curve ball is absolutely ridiculous if you haven't seen it.
  14. I know I'm going to jinx this, but if Touki doesn't get taken in the next 4 or 5 picks does he slide due to demands? I'd need to change my pants if he was there at 45.
  15. Can you imagine what a disaster Cubs.com is right now?
  16. Love Kopech but I don't see any way he isn't taken in the 1st.
  17. Wow, since you already have it penciled in, where is Kyle going to play? He's not a MLB catcher, Rizzo has 1B locked up into the next decade, and i have a hard time seeing that big body running around a Major League outfield. Theoyer obviously believe that he can stick in the OF. If they didn't believe that he wouldn't have been drafted.
  18. Hoffman exactly where I expected. Go grab Touki with your next pick and you have 2 potential monsters.
