  1. If they can't score on the Rockies then it's time to pretend it's October and just focus on football.
  2. Finnegan was well thought of coming into the season. Feels like Lamb has been around forever. Arm injuries, but supposedly his velocity and stuff is back.
  3. If they're not going to bother doing something about this offense then they should at very least see what the market for Coghlan,Fowler and maybe Hammel is.
  4. Cubs can't score runs so let's leave Schwarber on the bench yet again. Brilliant.
  5. A guy who works for BA and frequents OH, is claiming the Dodgers have a done deal for a pitcher and the announcement is coming in the next 24 hours. No details beyond that. I can't imagine it would be Price already.
  6. Congrats Cubs, you basically had to try and lose this game and you managed to pull it out.
  7. Tillman isn't good and has not been good. He gets completely carried by Baltimore's elite defense. 4.25,4.42,4.01 and 4.13FIPs the last 4 years.
  8. Oh please let the Mets do something dumb like give up Molina and Fulmer.
  9. rizzo has been in a horrid slump since the all star break Soler against Giles' slider is about as sure of a strike out as there is.
  10. Not sure why they're pitching to Rizzo in the first place.
  11. There is not a single person on this entire team who can bunt.
  12. There is no reason whatsoever for Schwarber not to start tomorrow. This team can't score and you have the answer sitting on your bench.
  13. Sure would be nice if we had a closer who actually struck people out right now.
  14. Bryant misses a tremendous amount of pitches right down the pipe.
  15. and yet he's still thrown a quality start through 6 and only at 83 pitches.
  16. This offense continues to set new lows. Getting dominated by Jerome Williams.
  17. if ever there was a game the Cubs should win, this is it.
  18. I would be less than thrilled.
  19. Sickels had him #71 on his midseason list.
  20. Carassco's contract is fantastic. 4/22 through 2018 and club options for 2019 and 2020 at 9M and 9.5M respectively.
  21. If Carassco is available, he jumps right to the top of the wishlist for me. Absolutely filthy peripherals (2.81FIP,2.73xFIP,10.08K/9), with an ERA that is lagging behind.
  22. what would have been a comparable pair of Cubs prospects? We don't really have one to be honest. I guess Ian Happ would currently be the closest.
