  1. I can't believe how many of you want Clippard. He has been absolutely awful this year. 5.35xFIP 3.80FIP, walks are way way up,Ks are down, GBs have been cut in half. He's giving up the 2nd highest LD% of his career and 63.6FB%. Once it eventually gets warm, he's going to get torched in Wrigley. I'd like to snag one of Sonny Gray,Danny Salazar,Tyson Ross or to a cheaper extend Zach McAllister.
  2. No interest in Cashner. He's oft injured and when he isn't he rarely goes deep into games. I'd be thrilled to have Gausman but with Chen and Norris leaving the O's rotation after this season, Gausman almost definitely has a spot in 2016.
  3. Wow, I didn't think Kellog would get anywhere near that type of money. That's crazy for a guy whose ceiling is rotational depth.
  4. Something about Toronto turns guys who are just OK into good hitters and good hitters into monsters.
  5. Stop throwing up in the zone, you're a damn sinkerballer!
  6. Not when they're given the power to make the strike zone whatever they say it is.
  7. This [expletive] ump has made it just impossible to score runs. It's going to take a HR to win this game.
  8. His fault for not adjusting after his first at bat.
  9. I'd trade them all in for that 3rd strike on Baxter in the 1st.
  10. Nice to see after that 0-8 double header earlier this week.
  11. This is my thoughts exactly. I simply don't believe Theoyer is going to throw another 150-170M on the table, 350M total, and spend it on 2 30+ year old pitchers. If another pitcher is coming I think they're coming via trade or perhaps a guy like Samardzija who has completely nose dived and would be lucky to touch 100M in FA. I dont' expect us to be in on Cueto,Price or Zimmerman unless they have an irrational hard on for wanting to be a Cub and will take a CJ Wilson deal.
  12. That was my immediate thought as well. He was good, not great at AA(.840OPS). That's not the time of dominating I'd need to see in order to completely skip AAA.
  13. Absolutely, I thought we had a guy with some upside who might also be a quick mover
  14. What an awful draft. The 4th most exciting prospect is the side arming 85MPH reliever from UCLA.
  15. Cardinals take Kep Brown.....
  16. Yet another guy with a middle of the bullpen ceiling.
  17. Isn't it possible they are saving money on some of these 3-10 rounds with "signability" guys (since you'd lose the pool if they go unsigned) and will reach for a couple guys starting in round 11? I'm happy with the first few picks and will reserve any more judgement until after tomorrow (and even then nobody really knows for years how these guys will all play out). This is what I'm holding out for. The 11th round pick had better be a good one.
  18. This draft has pretty much been at very best meh so far. 3 players in a row that are signability guys with no one drafted who is going to likely take more than slot.
  19. Oh [expletive] you Houston, you get 4 picks. You couldn't let us have Eschelman?
  20. Jesus, good draft for the Dodgers.
