  1. Why is this idiot still in the game?
  2. I've been thinking this all day, yet over on Redbirds Coghlan is been vilified as some kind of monster, and is a racist according to one poster.
  3. The Pirate farm is pretty fantastic. They have a legit ace candidate and top 15 prospect in baseball with with Tyler Glasnow. There's a chance he opens 2016 in the rotation. Taillon is a legit #2/#3 candidate when healthy and could be used out of their pen in 2016 if the Pirates decided to go that way. Josh Bell looks like he could take over at 1B opening day. There's not a ton of power there, but he's what James Loney should have been. Great defense, tons of extra base hits, a potential .300/.375/.450 type of guy.Nick Kingham had TJS this year, but when he returns he should be a strong back of the rotation guy. They also have a stud in Austin Meadows who is a year to a year and a half away. Then you have guys who should be decent regulars like Alan Hanson and Reese McGuire.
  4. bringing in Richard/Rodney for a high leverage situation then not using Bryant at all in a one run game. This might be Maddon's worse game of the year.
  5. Either Bryant is hurt, or that is some horrible managing.
  6. hasn't been a strike all day, now it is.
  7. exactly this. Rodney and Richard have no business being in high leverage situation, using them as such is just a dumb move by Joe.
  8. should they just never use the bullpen? Lester has not been pushed at all this year. Making him go 125 one game of the year isn't going to ruin him.
  9. He's been p solid and is a groundball guy? Doesn't miss bats, going against a guy who doesn't strike out often, and also has a good history against him. It was a bad decision.
  10. Richard never ever should have been brought in. Completely on Joe.
  11. God, the Cards just absolutely own Strop.
  12. Ryan Williams.
  13. Melancholy grand slam. Good for the Cubs, bad for my childhood friend the reliever Reynolds.
  14. Arrieta has better save this team tomorrow, otherwise this could end up being a long stumble.
  15. They need to do something because Theo and Hoyer really [expletive] the bed on the Haren and Hunter deals.
  16. well that cost Arrieta about 10 pitches.
  17. The only guys I definitely have in front of him are McKinney,Gleyber and Happ. You could make a case for Almora too. I think it's safe to say he's inside the top 5 right now.
  18. Castro's last two ABs have been well hit balls. Would be great if he could really get it going.
  19. Watch the guys in New York claim the ball rifled back onto field from contact with a rope.
