Agreed, I'm just confused why the Yankees wouldn't pay the $5 million to maximize their return. Because relievers are already the most valuable commodity known to man. -

Not exactly a huge sample size, but would be nice if Rizzo and Bryant would get it rolling again. .296wOBA and .267 respectively in the 2nd half.

I don't understand the urgency. The Cubs are set to be very good for a long long time. It's not like this is the year and next year we're back to mediocre.

I wonder if LAD would be interested in a Soler for De Leon move. Cubs could throw him in the pen this year and put him in the rotation next year.
