  1. I know it's artificially inflated by that 21 run beat down, but it's funny to see a team with a +16 run differential and a -35 run differential have the same record.
  2. They've lost 9 out of 10 now and somehow are still only half a game out of 2nd and 3.5 games out of first. The AL central being absolutely terrible seems to be the only thing saving LaRussa/Hahn right now.
  3. I can't imagine being a coach right now. It's near impossible to effectively recruit when half your roster turns over every year so you don't even know what you positions of need are going to be.
  4. If it's not Olave near the end of the 1st round, then I don't really have much interest in trading up.
  5. If he doesn't, he'll just opt out of his contract which is just fine with me.
  6. 7 straight losses for the WSox. If things don't change direction real fast, I don't think Larussa will be around much longer.
  7. This might mean Cam Whitmore to Illinois which would be a big get.
  8. Adams took a 1 and 2. Tyreke Hill took a 1 and 2 + some day 3 picks next year. Bears don't have the 1 to give this year, but a 2 this year (39) and a 1st next year, would probably get the deal done. That being said, I don't think it's likely. Won't cost as much AAV and we know he fits in what Getsy says he's going to run, but I just can't see it with the way Poles has played the rest of this offseason. I'd agree, it's very unlikely. It's just a shame when we have an unprecedented amount of top tier WR on the move this offseason, a position the Bears badly need to fill, and the Bears are probably not in on any of them.
  9. Deebo Samuel has requested a trade from the 49ers. He's on the last year of his rookie contract so it would take a contract extension, but he's very young, super productive and would give Fields a true #1 WR. I'd love to add him to the squad, I just wonder if the Bears have the draft capital to pull something like this off when they have so many other holes to fill.
  10. Luke Voit deciding to hit Tyler Stephenson in the head with both his hands/arms during the play at the plate was pretty blatantly intentional to me. Of course the umps didn't agree and ruled it clean.
  11. Now imagine if they had Correa and with Davis in the wings, this offense would actually be kind of exciting.
  12. Irrational Madrigal hatred quickly becoming rational.
  13. Kid is going to get a 250M contract before he throws an mlb pitch if he gets posted
  14. Look around at some other Cub sites I'm well aware there are plenty of moron Cub fans as well. I just find Cards Talk to be particularly objectionable.
  15. Same thing every time with Madrigal. Falls behind early, then weakly puts a bad pitch into play.
  16. 0 hr in 33.2 IP, ,267babip was the lowest of his career, no increase in velocity. The only thing that suggested any real progress was a change in pitch usage. You'd have preferred he given up more home runs? His xERA and xFIP were fine last year too. It's completely unsustainable. His xFIP WAS 3.69, nearly double his era. His Siera was 3.58. Yeah its not awful, but coming off two awful years prior, I'm not aching to give a guy like that a roster spot.
  17. He shouldn't have been around to begin with. He hasn't been anything but terrible since 2018. He was pretty good last year on the surface. 30 appearances, 2.14 ERA, 2.01 FIP unless the underlying numbers suggest he was much worse 0 hr in 33.2 IP, ,267babip was the lowest of his career, no increase in velocity. The only thing that suggested any real progress was a change in pitch usage.
  18. He shouldn't have been around to begin with. He hasn't been anything but terrible since 2018.
  19. It's not really irrational. He swings too much. So much weak contact after getting behind in the count over and over.
  20. It's game 3 and I'm already developing an Irrational dislike for Madrigal.
