  1. I'm certainly not informed enough to know this, but I have to wonder if this is more a result of tinkering with his mechanics, as it's been rather unusual to see such a drastic change in control in command from one league to another. Perhaps I'm wrong, but the vast majority of the time it seems to be a "stuff" issue translating from one league to the other.
  2. While this is true, I don't even think this was a case of Fujinami not translating to MLB. It was a case of Fujinami can't throw strikes.
  3. At the very least, you have a man who has basically been hated by all of his former teammates who, even if she was ok with it, choked a women into unconsciousness and had sex with her. Hard no thanks.
  4. That guy is currently getting sued by a teenager who is claiming the guy who ended up with the ball, and his buddy, more or wrestled it away from him in the scrum including putting him in an arm bar. I doubt the teenager has any real chance unless it's absurdly egregious, but still scummy behavior.
  5. I'd be willing to put substantial money down that isn't wood from the the 20s. Old growth trees have tighter rings vs mass produced wood where they are much larger. Here's an example
  6. Yup my fault. It was a really bad weekend for top receivers.
  7. 500M is what people are saying now, but I suspect that will be closer to 600M by the time a contract actually comes to fruition.
  8. Detroit WR Jameson Williams is in trouble yet again, this time facing a 2 game suspension for violating the league's performance enhancing policy. Tampa Bay WR Chris Godwin tore both his ACL and MCL on a play late into a blow out in a game where TB had already lost Mike Evans with a hamstring injury.
  9. There were 3 plays in particular that were either just dumb luck or a receiver making an absurd catch. The first was on an underthrown ball to the left sideline. The WR is blanketed, but fights back through the defender making a one armed catch. The 2nd was a ball thrown down the right side line that bounces off the defenders shoulder pad up into the air and then is caught by the wide receiver. The third was a TE over the shoulder catch which was made while diving with quite literally the finger tips. It wasn't an awful throw, but that was an absurd catch and not something that you can expect to be duplicated. Now I'm not going to say Russell was bad, but he was no the guy his stats indicate he was. By that same measure, Rodgers was even worse than his line indicated. Something absurd like 100 of Breece Hall's 103 receiving yards were after the catch.
  10. A win here could give them quite a bit of breathing room going into the brutal final 8 games.
  11. Another former Cardinal player going on to a post season mvp award after they're no longer on the Cardinals. It's legitimately amazing how much talent around the league was given up by the Cards Zac Gallen Sandy Alcantara Jack Flaherty Michael Wacha Marcell Ozuna Tyler O'Neil Tommy Edman Randy Arozarena Adolis Garcia
  12. He is playing nowhere near his stat line. He's been bailed out 3 times on highlight catches for big yards.
  13. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combine for 4 total targets on 26 pass attempts. That is what we call actively trying to lose.
  14. Prior to week 7 Caleb Williams: 219.5 YPG, 65.3 COMP%, 9TD, 5INT, 169 rushing yards, Jayden Daniels: 234.0 YPG, 75.3 COMP%, 6TD, 2INT, 322 rushing yards, 4 rushing TD Drake Maye(ignoring clean up time in his first official game): 243 YPG, 60.6 COMP%, 3TD, 2INT, 38 rushing yards Bo Nix: 178.0 YPG, 61.2 COMP%, 5TD, 5INT, 255 rushing yards, 3 rushing TD
  15. I know it's Jacksonville, but Drake Maye might be the 3rd franchise QB from this draft. This has the makings of a historically great QB draft class.
  16. They were all like entertainment weekly quality links unfortunately. That's about the only people who care about her these days.
  17. https://www.outkick.com/culture/kristin-cavallari-all-conspiracy-theories-believes-kanye-west-britney-spears-clones
  18. That exwife who recently said the current Kanye and Brittany Spears are clones that the deep state replaced the originals with? She's full blown crazy as hell.
  19. For me it basically has to be Edge or OL unless it's a safety that's just way ahead of the options at the other positions. Starks is pretty much the only one I find that fits that criteria and even then I'm not 100% behind it depending on who slips.
  20. A bye week is as good a time as any to list what far too early draft mocks have the Bears doing with their first round pick 1) Walter Football has the Bears taking Safety Malaki Starks saying "Kevin Byard is just a temporary solution next to Jaquan Brisker at safety. A quarterback in high school, Malaki Starks is a star in the making, according to Charlie Campbell’s sources." 2) CBS has the Bears taking Edge Mykel Williams saying "Williams is too freakish for the Bears to pass here, and he'd be a nice building block opposite the similarly long and athletic Montez Sweat on an ascending Chicago defensive line." 3) Tankathon also has the Bears taking Edge Mykel Williams 4) Drafttek has the Bears taking DL Kenneth Grant 5) The Draft Network has the Bears taking RB Omarion Hampton saying "The Bears went passing-game-heavy last offseason by drafting Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze and signing Keenan Allen. Now, they provide Williams some balance and draft him a running back. Omarion Hampton appears to be a back who can create for himself and be a true threat to create explosive plays out of the backfield. The addition of Hampton would make the Bears' offense even more dangerous." 6) Draft Countdown has the Bears taking Edge Mykel Williams 7) PFF has the Bears taking EDGE James Pearce JR. saying "The Bears defense is one of the better units in the NFL, and their short-term outlook on that side of the ball is strong. However, they could still use another legitimate pass-rush threat opposite Montez Sweat. Pearce may be light at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, but he generated an impressive 21.9% pass-rush win rate and earned a 91.9 pass-rush grade in 2023." Outside of the RB, all of them are perfectly defensible. Just about every mock I've seen that has a 2nd round has the Bears using Carolina's 2nd for an interior lineman.
  21. It's under the assumption that the real Cowles is the one who reduced his K% from 27.5% in 2022 to 17.7% in 2023. If he's that guy, he could end up being a very valuable player.
  22. I'm going to go full Tom here. Is it too much to ask for Cowles to be Ben Zobrist?
  23. Rodgers is just the most unlikable pos in sports. Watching that post game interview where he completely and totally throws his WR under the bus for the INT to end the game. It was a horsefeathers throw Aaron, but like all narcissists, he can't take any blame. It's always someone else's fault.
  24. On a team where almost everything is a negative, Buzelis has been solid to good in 2 out of 3 games. That's something I guess.
  25. The Jets gave Hasson Reddick the right to talk to teams regarding a trade. Should the Bears be looking to put themselves over the top with him on the opposite side of Sweat?
