  1. It's something i suppose. Still one starter to pencil in ahead of Taillon/Boyd and one 8th/9th inning pen arm and some kind of bench bet away from feeling ok about this offseason.
  2. Jordan Romano off the board to the Phillies. He was an interesting bounce back guy.
  3. How the hell did Michigan get a bowl game against Alabama?
  4. This. Right now your ML Bench is something like Thaiss/Mastrobuoni/Canario/Vazquez/Mervis. You'd actively have to try and make a worse bench than that.
  5. Considering he was the OL whisperer who supposedly didn't even need top picks to find Oline talent. Oops.
  6. So then the plan is Shaw is your DH? Occasionally filling in at 3B and 2B?
  7. Yeah, but his bat plays a lot better at 3B. If you move him to 1B full time he becomes like a 2 fWAR player rather than the guy who has averaged almost 3.5 fWAR over the last 3 years.
  8. If Cody+ prospect in maybe the Cristian Hernandez level get it done, sure. If Nico is your lead piece, there had better be something valuable coming back. Harry Ford I'm looking at you.
  9. Not that I am in anyway advocating this, but I wonder given that we've heard about the Cubs supposed interest in Alonso on several occasions over the last two years, Is a Cody dump potentially a cap clearing move to bring in Pete? I don't want him anywhere near the 6-7 years he supposedly wants and I think he gets overpaid because HRs despite being no better than Santander with the bat.
  10. For FAs that fit both budget and need, yeah.
  11. That would be baffling to me. Let's get rid of Bellinger so we can give 4/90ish to Santander who can barely fake it in RF.
  12. Don't get me wrong the line is, especially at LT, very bad, but at least 2 of those sacks yesterday were 100% on Caleb. So while they definitely suck, Caleb isn't helping the number out.
  13. Yeah I can't wait for the team's mediocre offense to trade a bat they badly need and hope they can fill the gap with dwindling number of options left in FA.
  14. It's only more than 4x bigger than any contract the small market Cubs have ever handed out.
  15. They can go get horsefeathered if they want PCA
  16. Braxton is really bad, I don't give a horsefeathers what PFF says
  17. Why does this offense only work in the 2nd half?
  18. I have one condition for whoever becomes the next Bear DC, he must announce at his press conference that zone defense is horsefeathers.
  19. 3rd and what 5? Three Bear defenders play 10 yards off the ball letting Kittle just sit there uncovered for the easy 1st down.
  20. I have no idea why this has been such an issue with the Bears this year.
  21. Beautiful pass and toe tap. Not sure why they can't do anything in the 1st half.
  22. Nice drive and all, but using up the entire 3rd quarter when you're 3 possessions down is probably not ideal.
  23. #4 probably on Caleb too
