  1. A win's a win. We're a flawed team, but at least we kept the bad loss off our resume. We have to improve against the zone though. True, we need to take care of the ball better. Plus we can't have Abrams and Egwu having their horrible games together like that. We need to go kill ga tech now. Tracy's a tough kid, he's gonna learn from this and improve. I hate to single him out but if he's going to be the primary ball handler, he needs to value the basketball, and come out firing from the start.

  3. HOLYSHIT!!!! TYLER GRIFFEY. THE MOTHERFUCKING TURTLE. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  4. This has been awful. Great job by Paul to get to the buckeket in crunch time. A WINDOW THREE. WHAT THE [expletive]
  5. Great win. Wasn't expecting to look that good tonight. Certainly wasn't expecting to bring home a trophy.
  6. The shooting will cool off soon, and you'll want to kill them. We're like a Villanova team circa 2004-07 with guards that aren't as good.
  7. We gotta find a way to cool Clark off. Really liking Egwu's improvement on the defensive side of the ball. Also, that was a charge.
  8. It's easy to slow teams down, it's much tougher to speed them up. Playing Wisconsin, Purdue, Minnesota, etc is going to be awful.
  9. I love that he can't figure out why we want the Big Ten to win non conference games. Fletcher has pmed me several times to take it easy on Peoriaman. They are still baby gloving him. 1. How is the Scout board these days? Haven't been there in months. 2. Let's get this W and squash the nerd tonight. It's been weird. I think we win tonight. I think it's going to be ugly, and it'll look like a lot of our B1G games with Butler's slower pace. For me, the key is to get Butler to play a little quicker than they usually do and win the turnover battle. Did Scout permaban P-Man and Nova?

  11. Good lord. We historically own recruiting south of I-80 in the state. This is a huge miss. Maybe Groce will get the message he shouldn't be flirting with Indiana kids.
  12. Nevermind. He just committed to Ohio State. Strike one John Groce.
  13. In today's KBD rumor: he's headed to OSU.
  14. Pitt and ???? Would've said Notre Dame a few years ago, but seriously, [expletive] those guys UVA and ND would be the ultimate pipe dream, but I think we'll take a good long look at BC to grab Boston. We'll see.
  15. Makes great sense. We now have the east coast from NY to DC locked in. Penn State gets some east coast rivals it's been pissing and moaning about for twenty years, and we're raiding NDs new home. Now, what gets us to 16?
  16. Didn't Kendall decide after Malcom Hill verballed to us? Plus it's gonna get harder for you to come in now being as our current coach is much more highly regarded as a recruiter. Nope, Kendall committed in early 2011. Obviously, he's a legacy so that helped. It's never going to be easy. Illinois hasn't pulled anyone from Indiana in the last decade. Ok, how does that matter in relation to KBD? Did he move to indiana? Just stating that its already tough odds to pull a kid from someone else's backyard. Acting like Purdue won some great recruiting battle for Stephens is a bit of an overreach. There was never a chance he was going anywhere but Purdue. Illinois was interested because of Weber's relationship with Stephen's dad, but we were never in a position to make it close.
  17. Agreed on both counts. KBD is Groce's must get recruit. Central Illinois kid in the Top 25. If ever there is a prototypical highly ranked Illinois recruit over the last 20 years, it's him. The last one to spurn us was probably Livingston.
  18. Shooting arm? How would that affect you going forward? I would assume that could really mess your shot up. Ouch, he's from my hometown, so I can tolerate him even if he is going to be a Boiler. Hope his rehab goes well and he's able to come back strong. He seems like a great kid. I assume his high school team had a shot at a state title? St Charles is not a basketball hot bed. Stephens is the best prospect to ever come out of there, Cully Payne's brother plays across town at my former high school, and it's the most talent there's ever been in town at once.

  20. I know it's not likely, but Mike Thomas needs to can Beckman. He makes me miss Ron Zook.
  21. Speaking of Packers injuries, how will Jennings injury affect the market for him in Free Agency? I ask because I'm curious if he'd give GB another year for cheap and then hit the market, or if there is a team out there that will still throw the cash regardless of his injury status this season.
  22. Ugh. Horrible news. Injuries have hit the Packer defense hard this year.
  23. Not when you make decisions like those detailed in this article. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8406098/the-roster-moves-made-panthers-gm-incompetent-best
  24. I'm starting to believe one of the major issues with the Packers is coaching. I've never been a huge McCarthy fan, and had it not been for Rodgers going on a yearlong hot streak his record is pretty unimpressive. Unfortunately, he's not getting let go, but perhaps after this season, Capers can hit the bricks.
  25. I like the commit for the Simeon connection, but it calls into question the wisdom of letting James go. I don't think it does. Jalen James isn't a high d1 player. And Tate is? I didn't mind gambling on Jackson/Ennis but this appears to be a clear step down from even James. Tate's only ranked as the #19 player 2013 Illinois player by the Hoops Report.
