  1. Soler has the rookie excuse right now, but that'll drop off by next year. We'll need to look for someone else if he can't maintain a .750 OPS, given his potential. Easier said than done, of course.
  2. Someone with as much power as Soler should have way more than 5 HRs in August, even with his DL stint.
  3. Let's hope the April version of McCutchen shows up.
  4. We also put in an average pitcher.
  5. Eh, Coghlan made square contact. Hard to get upset.
  6. http://i.imgur.com/UtA9vKb.jpg Lulz.
  7. What's the point in bickering? It's possible to address someone's points without slapping [expletive] on their face.
  8. Pretty horrible AB by Russell.
  9. There's honestly nothing smoother than a Rizzo dong. Dat swing.
  10. [expletive] baseball variance. The Cubs need to be chewed out for blowing chunks against mediocre teams.
  11. Do non Cubs pitchers ever throw meatballs? Wait, they do. All the time. And then we foul them off or watch them go by.
  12. Way to swing at a pitch five inches inside. Jesus Christ.
  13. Except everyone is underperforming and it's feasible the gears could snap back into the place at any time.
  14. Does every lefty in baseball get shifted?
  15. Cubs hit 5 home runs and win 8-3.
  16. That reminded me of DeRosa's HR in game 1 of the 2008 NLDS. Almost the exact same high pop fly hit down the RF line and the way it was hit everyone thought it would end up foul or short of the wall and then all the sudden it landed for a HR. Don't remind me of that series. :(
  17. It saddens me when I compare our lineup's stellar potential against our actual season performance.
  18. I would have this post on a hotkey and just swap out Rockies for another awful team or mediocre pitcher.
  19. Why were we excited about the Maddon hiring again?
  20. Do the Cubs have the worst combination of underperforming offense, hard hit outs, and choking in the clutch over a season than any other team in history? It seems like it. You would think the team with the huge century-long world series drought would get some sort of karma bonus.
