  1. Heatwave hitting LA. First pitch Tuesday expected to be 95F.
  2. Brewer reddit (NSFW) This actually made my morning. https://www.vivaelbirdos.com/2017/10/18/16496906/chicago-cubs-have-already-peaked-dynasty-over
  3. The Dodgers are gonna destroy either the Astros or the Yankees
  4. That'd be effing stupid. I'd prefer we not trade a guy with a damn near historic glove that can hit 25-30 HR. Schwarber seems to be the obvious trade bait. He needs to go be a DH somewhere. Schwarber's value has never been higher. Baez's peaked over the last offseason, but is still higher than it should be. Not advocating either, but trading Schwarber right now would be stupid. He was untouchable a season ago. He's now a non-commodity. Trading someone when there value is the highest is the time to trade( Not that I think they should trade Schwarber)
  5. Cubs Dong Kershaw to death, Q goes 7 with a 10-2 lead. Lackey gets mop up duty for the 8th and 9th, Cubs win 10-5, on to LA
  6. As someone said earlier this would be a perfect time for an 8 game winning streak. I think they light up Kershaw tomorrow.
  7. One of the sacrifices PTR made with all the upgrade costs was not updating the rotary phone system. It will take days to return all of their voice mail.
  8. Great timing on the article btw. Easy to say that on the brink of the Cubs elimination but this clown just knows deep down the Cubs will be destroying the Cardinals while being in WS contention for the next 5 years
  9. 4.0 right?
  10. itisallpartoftheplan I hope you are starting the next 4 game threads of the NLCS and WS game 1 minimum
  11. horsefeathers that. Yu's a horsefeather and so is the rest of that team. They're just lucky that rain prevented us from ending the Nationals series against Roark on Tuesday and resting up, because then they wouldnt even have any NLCS wins to hang their hat on this offseason. Edit: holy crap how is B not auto-censored? Sorry about that Well if the bullpen didn't implode against Washington in game 2 the Cubs would have been resting the same as the Dodgers
  12. Looks intriguing, I will start it after the Cubs win the WS on or around Halloween
  13. Ok.....but why go with four 8-team divisions instead of going like the NFL and do eight 4-team divisions? Travel
  14. No technically they only have to win 2/3 at Wrigley but I don't see how they could win both game 6 and 7 on the road in LA. I know they did so in Cleveland last year but I think this Dodger team is better than that Cleveland team. You don't see how they could win 2 games in a row in LA? Really? You don't see how that could happen? I don't believe you. I think you do see how that could happen. I think we all see how that could happen. Right, but I would rather they win the next 4 games and LA can go horsefeathers off into the offseason
  15. What? No, they don’t have to sweep the three home games to win. No technically they only have to win 2/3 at Wrigley but I don't see how they could win both game 6 and 7 on the road in LA. I know they did so in Cleveland last year but I think this Dodger team is better than that Cleveland team.
  16. Buy a cheap wheelchair at a resale shop http://nj1015.com/files/2015/09/seinfeldwheelchair.gif
  17. The Cubs pretty much have to sweep the 3 games at Wrigley to win this series. Just frustrating that with any kind of offense its at least 1-1 heading back to Chicago. I think Edwards is right, before we know it this will be tied. Game 5 comes and they dong Kershaw to oblivion, then close it out in LA on Saturday.
  18. Who's dropping the ball on the new game thread?
  19. You are very close to realizing that you're looking for something to be wrong because the game was frustrating. Hitting Scherzer, Strasburg, Kershaw, and Jansen(15 of his 25 PA) is hard. You'd hope he'd do better of course, but he also has 5 hits(2 XBH) and a walk in 6 games. He hasn't been a black hole. Fair enough. Hitting good pitchers is hard. But he’s an MVP. You expect more from an MVP. He already has a pretty extensive and very mediocre playoff resume.
