    Heard the mariners are shopping him and Lindstrom (sp?) What would it take to get both of them?

    I get the feeling we are going to see Jim trade guys like Fuld, Coleman, and Harrison to the Royals for Teahan. Kind of a meh deal as far as I'm concerned, but I can definitely see him doing something very similar....

    Quantity never means as much as quality in these deals. Theres a lot of quality in that package. Maybe even a bit too much. 1 top prospect in the league 2 major league ready quality starting pitchers 3 of our top prospects 2 very young players with a lot of upside We can throw Fox/Hoff in there for good measure I suppose. They are better suited for AL teams anyways.

    Ya know what the funny thing is? THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Very unlikely. Very unproven "Sources". All a bunch of talk, nothing true at all.

    Guys, anyone have anything on Chris Matlock? He's the D2 pitcher of the year, and I went to school with him. I read that he would be a top 20 round pick. I think he'd be a perfect right-handed specialist for any team. Throws submarine with a fastball in the high 80's and a down right NASTY slider. Thanks!

    Where will castillo pitch now? Has he even been assigned to a team yet?

    How long until Cashner is placed into the pen as a closer? I'm pretty sure the only reason why he is in the rotation at Daytona is to build up his arm strength, and possible work on some secondary pitches... I don't think he "projects" as a starting pitcer, but who knows I guess?

    125 pitches the start before we play AT Milwaukee is not very encouraging....... ugh

    Not as annoying as the Kerry Wood-Joey Cora (Dodgers at the time) match up where Kerry threw 20 pitches in the at-bat only to serve up a HR. That was Matt Clement, not Kerry Wood. yeah, beat me to it.

    Wellington Castillo would HAVE to be in this deal imo. giving a prospect package of- Vitters, Ceda, Castillo, M. Smith/Rundle/Colvin, combined with a MLB ready package of- Marquis, Pie, Hill, Cedeno, Marshall would maybe get the convo. started....

    In other news, Jose Ceda continues to completely dominate AA. Any chance we see him BEFORE september? Am I the only one excited about him as a future set-up man/closer?
