  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH I love da cubbies.
  2. ok, who jinxed the perfect game by not sayng it?
  3. Why isn't he a starter anymore? Durability?
  4. Marmol is struggling with his control today. He just walked in a run, his third walk in 1.1 IP.
  5. Why? Cuz his D-fence Sox That's Blanco out there today. Yeah, kinda being sarcastic because that's what a lot of people who want to trade Barrett think, whereas even Blanco misses balls sometimes. winnar
  6. That's not good. It's possible that he won't even get the Thursday start-if management decides that he is not right for the 5th spot, then I could easily see them not wanting him to start on Thursday because he will likely be recalled on Friday as a reliever. If that happens then (or if he pitches on Thursday and isn't absolutely outstanding) then I don't think he'll get another chance at starter for at least another month. If Marmol keeps pitching like he did his last two outings, Guzman may not get that chance. not saying that marmol is a bust, but he was disturbingly bad with the cubs last year. Personally, I'd like to see him groomed as a closer. His walk rate was indeed disturbingly bad last year @ 6.9/9IP but if he significantly improves on that I think he can be pretty good. Also, I'm curious as to why he tends to be viewed as a reliever, I assume he doesn't have an effective 3rd pitch?

  8. What happened? I'm watching on Gameday. He tripped on the mound.
  9. don't be hurt don't be hurt don't be hurt don't be hurt don't be hurt
  10. What are the draft guru's thoughts on former Cubs draftee and current Florida Gator 1B Matt LaPorta? He had an injury plagued season last year, but he's rebounded nicely so far hitting: .435/.586/.878 with 16 HR 11K 32BB 17(!)HBP in 131Ab. (.394 BABIP) He's second in the nation in OBP and SLG, third in HR, and is leading the nation in OPS. I know he was considered one of the top 15 or so prospects in the nation before last season's struggles, but what round do you see him falling to this year? Can he sneak back into the first round?
  11. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA how many times can we do that per week?
  12. and Daytona will start getting rained out every-other day in about 1-2 months. YAY Summer!
  13. Miller needs to hurry up and retire the side. I really wanna se Pie's first PA befre class.
  14. uhhh, There is a word I want to use here. It starts w/ an S.
  15. The Jags Select: DE Tim Crowder, Texas Bobby McCray had double digit sacks last year, but Hayward is coming off an achillies injury that cost him nearly all of last year. Crowder helps with depth and assits in the defensive M.O., stopping the run.
  16. Once again the cubs demonstrate why W-L record is meaningless when evaluating a pitcher.
  17. 2 for 3 with a BB, K, CS for Pie. When does the lack of XBH become a concern?
