    If you are referring to me, I'm not sure what you are referring to. I've never had Mark DeRosa on my roster. You must be confusing me with someone else. It's me that has DeRosa on my roster. And abuck has it backwards. I plan to play him at 2B (which he has eligibility at based on previous years) even though he was signed by Cleveland to play 3B.

    How is Kawakami not minor league eligible? He should be. He's a rookie with zero major league appearances.

    The minor leaguers are sent back to the minors. I the case of established major leaguers who are given these types of deals, in most cases, there is a clause in their contract that if they dont make the roster by a certain date they can opt out of the deal. That's why the Cubs lost Hideo Nomo just before he became a productive major leaguer again. He was pitching at Iowa and had a clause in his minor league contract that he had to be called up or released by a certain date. When that day came the Cubs didn't think he was quite ready for the majors yet, so they asked him to stay at Iowa just a little longer. He refused, so the Cubs released him. On the flip side is Rod Beck, who realized himself that he wasn't ready by the agreed-on date, so he agreed to remain at Iowa (that was when he was living in a camper outside the stadium).

    Usually non-drafted players are initially on waivers immediately after the draft and become free agents after the first waiver run, but it looks like they're free agents this time. That's probably because Sportsline doesn't recognize that a draft was held.

    I saw the Cubs' A team play in Ft. Wayne a couple of times when my mother was still alive and I visited her in Wabash every summer. I believe that at least the first time was when the Cubs' affiliate was still the Lansing Lugnuts. One of the times was 2004 when Dempster made a rehab start.

    Koskie and Kosuke both on the Cubs. Too bad Harry isn't with us anymore; I'd love to hear him try to deal with that. It would be Sandberg and Sundberg all over again.

    In the NFL draft that player would be known as Mr. Irrelevant. I don't know if they still do this, but at one time someone held an Irrelevant Day and presented the last player drafted with the Lowsman Trophy.

    We know that the Marlins will stay in Miami, but for some reason will switch to the AL. After all, the Cubs can't beat an NL team to win thre 2015 World Series. :D

    I drafted Vicente Padilla to complete my roster. I have one possible DL stashee in mind if he's still available in te 12th round; otherwise I'll probably pass.
