  1. So let me get this straight: If the Sox grant permission, then that means they want Theo to leave. (Corrolary: if they don't want him to leave, then they won't grant permission.) And if Theo feels they want him to leave, then he won't take the interview. So if the above facts are correct, please explain how Epstein could ever interview for, let alone become the next Cubs' GM. I think the part about him not wanting to be pushed out is in relationship to the Red Sox sacking the Cubs for players, meaning Theo wouldn't want to come here after we've been completely ransacked of talent. What the Red Sox don't know is how little talent we really have! ha! jokes ON THEM!
  2. I remember thinking "we have the tallest group in the nfl, but they all suck"
  3. I think that was pretty debatable. But gooney's point about drafting wr's is true as well. Angelo goes out and drafts "developmental" guys to play the position, but then doesn't actually provide the organization with the needed developmental parameters, coaches, etc.
  4. Cutler is off on a lot of throws, no doubt. but when he hits guys in stride and they cant catch it, or give him less then a 3" window to fit it into, then they arent doing their jobs very effectively, either. theres plenty of blame to go around here.
  5. Forte has accounted for 1/3 of Cutler's yards so far, which falls more on the shoulders of the line and Cutler than it does the receivers. Thus, there is no way you can convince me that any of the other options would have 200+ yards by now, so we might as well agree to disagree like you said. when the WR's don't get separation or repeatedly drop balls, Forte does start to account for many more yards. That DOES fall on the receivers shoulders.
  6. have we hired Epstein yet. I'm bored with this [expletive].
  7. it was well timed and had a better delivery then most.
  8. its as if we have our very own NSBB version of Chris Berman
  9. Detroit looks legit, as any organization should after the better part of a decade of sucking off the revenue sharing tit and drafting in the top 10 repeatedly. Soon or later, you're bound to make the playoffs, right? The Bears are struggling, but if they can get a pass rush, they could force some turnovers. Running on this monster D-line wont be easy, but may be necessary to keep the Lion's offense off the field. But I don't feel great about this one unless Stafford goes down. Lions 38 Chicago 17
  10. this defense is predicated on the pass rush. Okoye, Melton need to get at it again
  11. AS IT SHOULD BE. how many times do you get to see a HC convulse on the sidelines? we're going to get slaughtered.
  12. give them a 2 and a 3. its not like Jerry knows what to do with them
  13. lol
  14. the Cowboys should sign him
  15. 9-7 probably doesnt get you into the playoffs. they need 10 wins
  16. isnt it time for the Glass Joe QB to shatter again? I cant believe Stafford has made it this far.
  17. I would like him to break his kidneys.
  18. lol - I had to see the highlight to understand this post. that was a TD, until Orton shorted it by 9 yards
  19. + Orton's Beard is his most recognizable trait. color? BLACK.
  20. nice.
  21. I hope Rodgers breaks his throwing arm on this possession as payback
  22. I dont feel any better. It looks like the offense is still learning after over a year of the same system and now the D looks suspect.
  23. I don't get this logic. I hope they lose their next 12 games and all their fans kill themselves. except for sneaky. I couldn't live w/o his pro-football commentary.
