  1. In that view, it almost appears the palm of Contreras glove is touching Gonzalez on the sleeve.
  2. Once Russell hit his first flyout I felt better. He just missed it, and that may have been the hardest hit ball of his bat UP to that point. I didn't think there was anyway Howard wouldn't through out the mule named Gonzalez.
  3. I guess I can kind of understand the angle despite the final score. If he's called safe, its 1-0 with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs with Reddick up and a chance to put a crooked number on the board. The pressure on the Cubs gains, perhaps they don't break out in the 4th? I don't know just trying to understand if from their perspective. They had how many innings after that to score?
  4. I'd consider Hammel vs Kershaw. Jason should be very well rested, maybe we'd get first-half Hammel? Hammel isn't on the playoff roster. He will not be pitching in this series. Oh, well screw that idea.
  5. looks like it's his name He's a Cubs fan? Jesus, I would have sworn white sox/Dodgers/cards
  6. If it were up to me, I'd add Hammel and send him against the very beatable Maeda, and then I'd like our chances at Wrigley to take at least one of Lester vs. Kershaw or Hendricks vs. Hill. But if not, like you said, I don't like the idea of wasting a Hendricks start vs. Kershaw, and then we're relying on Reliable Mid Rotation Mode Jake vs. Hill to stay alive. Good thing it isn't up to you. I'd consider Hammel vs Kershaw. Jason should be very well rested, maybe we'd get first-half Hammel?
  7. No. but it doesn't matter TT did us all a favor For those that missed it, this is the yahoo that is no longer with us. As if this post wasn't bad enough, he then had some less than attractive things to say about Rizzo, and that just isn't welcome here. Or you. Either way, gracias
  8. Jamfan? Rawdog? No. but it doesn't matter TT did us all a favor
  9. Floyds (just off the Western blue line stop) has been my go to so far this playoffs, but that's mostly because I'm in the area. Good draft list, have played the volume every game. Frontier is off the division stop, little closer to the city, and will also have a good beer list...can't confirm the volume, but I think it's safe to assume (pretty sure I was there for Giants royals game 7 last year and they played the volume). Edit: I should note that these are more dive/corner bars, especially Floyds. They'll be crowded, but mostly just with regulars. If you're looking for more of a boisterous atmosphere, I'd recommend getting off at Division and walking west until you run into something that looks appealing...50/Fifty, Fat Pour, The Boundary, The Anthem. Those will all be a bit bigger/louder. If you're focused on the beer, Links Taproom off the Damen stop probably has the best selection. My niece bartends at 50/fifty. Its a riot
  10. Congrats! However, let her know that she now has to continue giving birth every game day until we win the series. We'll just shove little Javy McHorseteeth right back up in her and do it all again tonight. What name did you give her?
  11. HAHAHA...nice of her to wait for the game to end!! Congrats! My son was born a month before the Bears were in the Super Bowl. Your son cut things a lot closer.... My daughter was born about 3 weeks after the Super Bowl. It was there best make-up gift I could ever ask for. No, your son can't get her number.
  12. Yes. I still have PTSD from last night. 7-8 more runs might ease it
  13. When do they face the Reds bullpen? welp, see ya later Thank you
