  1. Well, they stole 1. In the 9th. Down by 100000
  2. 98? Why do I feel like the dodgers are doctoring the gun
  3. That's not weird. That's horsefeathering amazing.
  4. What will we do with Zobrist next year????
  5. Whatever is in that mans head needs to be bleeched out
  6. If it's so damn easy to steal on Lester, why bother planning for it?
  7. I think things like that just snowball. First, its a breakdown in swing mechs or pitch recognition. Then the player starts to press, which leads to more pressing and which ultimately starts throwing all kinds of things out of whack. See ball : hit ball is very difficult to do when ball is traveling at 95 mph one pitch and 85 the next. Keeping your concentration for months at a time isn't always possible, if not impossible. That's where being patient usually helps as you can draw walks, but if the pitchers throw strikes, its harder to work out of. I'm just glad they both were hitting the snot out of the ball
  8. watch that video 0:20 in, Contreras glove hits Gonzalez shoulder/upper arm and the hand appears to be still shadowing the plate. You can tell, because Contreras glove changes direction.
  9. In that view, it almost appears the palm of Contreras glove is touching Gonzalez on the sleeve.
  10. Once Russell hit his first flyout I felt better. He just missed it, and that may have been the hardest hit ball of his bat UP to that point. I didn't think there was anyway Howard wouldn't through out the mule named Gonzalez.
  11. I guess I can kind of understand the angle despite the final score. If he's called safe, its 1-0 with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs with Reddick up and a chance to put a crooked number on the board. The pressure on the Cubs gains, perhaps they don't break out in the 4th? I don't know just trying to understand if from their perspective. They had how many innings after that to score?
  12. I'd consider Hammel vs Kershaw. Jason should be very well rested, maybe we'd get first-half Hammel? Hammel isn't on the playoff roster. He will not be pitching in this series. Oh, well screw that idea.
  13. looks like it's his name He's a Cubs fan? Jesus, I would have sworn white sox/Dodgers/cards
  14. If it were up to me, I'd add Hammel and send him against the very beatable Maeda, and then I'd like our chances at Wrigley to take at least one of Lester vs. Kershaw or Hendricks vs. Hill. But if not, like you said, I don't like the idea of wasting a Hendricks start vs. Kershaw, and then we're relying on Reliable Mid Rotation Mode Jake vs. Hill to stay alive. Good thing it isn't up to you. I'd consider Hammel vs Kershaw. Jason should be very well rested, maybe we'd get first-half Hammel?
  15. No. but it doesn't matter TT did us all a favor For those that missed it, this is the yahoo that is no longer with us. As if this post wasn't bad enough, he then had some less than attractive things to say about Rizzo, and that just isn't welcome here. Or you. Either way, gracias
