  1. Well, yeah; tinyface = tinyteeth. no. I think he means human face = human teeth as opposed to horse face = horse teeth
  2. Changer your plans = She's divorcing you
  3. We started spring 2004. I did post on Cubs.com before that as sanclementefan, though. So, we're nothing more the a 12 step program for 2003 survivors?
  4. You lost me at "Kershaw has 120 pitches" Kershaw won't get 120 pitches
  5. I can't wait for that moment......Watching him try to be dramatic with us up 9-1.... The tying run is 5 base runners and 4 batters away folks, hold on! there is a part of me, and a LARGE part of me, that wants to replay all of his calls like that to him when the cubs win and ask him plainly just what in the horsefeathers was he trying to get at :flythew: :flythew:
  6. He boycotted all Trump Hotels while the team stayed at them during the season...thats gotta be good for something typical whiny liberal
  7. I know but not everyone here is a Cubs fan. NOT POSSIBLE
  8. What other reason would there be? The atmosphere, potential to get drunk and celebrate but they can still do that and they dont. only thing that has changed is no more home runs, unless the city cracked down on it
  9. NVM, it finally loaded. looks like what I would picture butters/buttercup to look like honestly.
  10. I feel nothing towards the Bears. Rock bottom is kinda nice as opposed to the horseshit "hope for hopes sack" not rock bottom
  11. Do balls just not get to the streets as often thanks to bleacher expansion? the expansion and the boards i think have really cooled that. but, again, those people were seemingly there just to be there. Seems to me they were there to catch home runs. For free.
  12. All I remember about 2008 was thinking about how the team was a bunch of choking dogs I remember pain in 2003.
  13. To me, being in the moment: 2008 was just "horsefeathers baseball". 2003 was "horsefeathers life"
  14. If 2003 doesn't sit burning in your memory banks, you either 1)aren't a Cubs fan 2)didn't witness it 3)aren't human It was 13 years ago. I think it's perfectly ok to let it go. I'm not saying I haven't let go of it, but there's no way I look back on it with fondness. And to compare the disappointment of 2008 to being 5 outs away is a bit crazy honestly. It was hell, but we survived.
  15. If 2003 doesn't sit burning in your memory banks, you either 1)aren't a Cubs fan 2)didn't witness it 3)aren't human 2008 sucked but comon
  16. It wasn't great game 1. And I feel pretty confident that they do score on Kershaw, but was mainly making the point about Hill
  17. well that is just silly and i was never worried about rizzo. russell, fine, he made a mechanical adjustment that seems to have clicked. rizzo's thing was mostly just baseball being baseball. but the opposing pitcher, especially when you're talking clayton [expletive] kershaw over the dudes we beat up on the last two games, definitely matters a lot. come on now. the temperature usually does, too. especially talking 85 vs 45. I thought we were talking about Hill.
  18. Ehh, game 3, Cubs offense was ice cold and Hill left a few up. I don't anticipate the offense being cold in game 7, if we get there i don't think what the offense has done the last two days has much bearing on what will happen vs kershaw and hill in 40 degrees this weekend. that doesn't mean i'm all that worried, either, mind you. (nor was that really my point...it's that you would never guess that both we wouldn't feel supremely confident with jake vs rich hill in a game 7 and that we'd get to game 7 of the NLCS despite jake not being god mode) The temp was in the 70's game 1 and the offense was meh save Montero. The biggest change is Russell and Rizzo, and they both had been out of it for a lifetime long time. I doubt temperature has much to do with that

  20. I don't want to post. I don't want to read. I don't want to eat. I don't want to sleep. I don't want to work. I just want to close this out.
