  1. is he even a weapon at this point? Maybe, maybe not. But only 2Mil savings if they cut him. That's not a difference making amount. Might as well see if he is healthy this summer. If not, cut him then, no harm, no foul. But he's only 27 and was a dynamic player as recently as Sept 2020. I thought I read they would save $5 mil if they cut him in June? I'd agree, $2 mil savings is probably worth taking a flyer on him.
  2. I actually don't think he will. I think the new staff wants all the weapons it can get, and I think they keep him as a true gadget player, especially if they can't re-sign Jakeem Grant. is he even a weapon at this point?
  3. .. Bob Avellini. arent they both from about the same time period? I remember Avellini..but not fondly
  4. I believe the comment was more about how people assumed Byron Leftwich was a mobile QB, because of reasons, when he really wasn't much of one. this I understand, I was making more a comment on my age vs wrigleys in fact I'm almost to young to really remember Vince Evans, but...alas
  5. Warren Moon Randell Cunningham Don't remember but, wasn't Moon more of a pocket passer? Cunningham, on the hand, was certainly mobile and had a big arm. I took "athletic" to mean more just a scrambler, and Moon was one of the all time best QB's, period
  6. Warren Moon Randell Cunningham
  7. Can we dump Cohen?
  8. #-o And we thought the bottom for Derwood was jorts Curling rocks
  9. plus, Eberflus will likely be the D guy, and rightfully so. He might be all they need. A staff full of O guys is beneficial if they start to get poached due to success. Lets hope for that what do you mean by this? Eberflus has already stated he will not call defensive plays, they hired a DC and several other experienced defensive position coaches. meaning continuity at D; Eberflus will likely be the one setting up the defense, and the DC et al become less important in maintaining their level of play due to cooperate raiding if Eberflus' defense is good. The offense is probably more suspect in that regard, and therefore its more important to have a good pipeline of offensive coaches
  10. Well with everyone else chasing one type just means prob most will be back in the carousel in a few years. Good chance the Bears will too obviously, but hopefully the first choice of a D guy is better than the 6th best O guy. (positive thinking) plus, Eberflus will likely be the D guy, and rightfully so. He might be all they need. A staff full of O guys is beneficial if they start to get poached due to success. Lets hope for that
  11. Disgusting What a way to ruin a franchise
  12. ever since it became apparent the Packers are on a downward spiral, the NFC North has become an arms race. I love it
  13. I feel like we did every Sunday with Nagy
  14. I like to pretend pre- and post-Cubs Yu doesn't exist. I love him so much I dont wnat to share him with another fan base. Currently, he's retired.
  15. to me, he looks soo much like a younger Ted Danson I want to call him "mayday malone" I'm not sure I wanted him to coach the Bears, but I worry a bit if he's with the Vikings
  16. harbaugh is not worth all this wtf lol he's fine. in 4 of his HC years at SF, he went to the NFC Championship 3 times and the SB 1. I think blowing off the Vikings hiring Harbaugh is a mistake. I dont think he alone will turn the Vikings into a juggernaut, but his hiring will likely be a good thing rather than bad for the Vikings. On the flip side, Eberflus is a total unknown at this point
  17. I know this is obviously cherry-picking his great moments, but I don't know how anyone can watch this video and still say that Fields is a failed QB who can't be salvaged at this point. To be fair it's largely rival fans looking at his numbers, but the number of people who treat Fields a bust is ridiculous. Also a nice reminder of how tough the Bears schedule was this year, as the highlights include games with the Rams, Bengals, Raiders, Packers, Bucs, 49ers, Cardinals, Packers again, just relentless. And Fields did it with an offensive line that was easily bottom third in the NFL (I think Peters was mostly solid, but everyone else was pretty bad), and I'm excited to see what Fields can do with an offense tailored to him and an OL that can give him 3 seconds of pass protection. Its fun to watch Fields take 5-7 steps back, plant, and Mooney is already a good 30 yards down field on some of those throws. Dude is fast
  18. That would be difficult if he wasn’t tipping the cutter so bad. Whatever you think you are seeing, I'm not. The only way he could tip one of those two pitches enough for me to get a jump on it is if he yelled what the pitch would be before his wind up. I don't see anything that gives it away
  19. I appreciate the thought, but it really only lasted about 11 minutes
  20. It should be much higher than 32 if you include the Packer fan dopes who own worthless stock certificates that say they are an owner. Although, collectively they may amount to a single idiot
  21. Yea but Darnold. I rest my case
  22. I thought that as well Although those may have been planted by Ross yes. It would be very disappointing to hear Flores was passed over for any HC position because of Ross spreading that rumor
  23. why would Joe Brady be a good hire? The Panthers had a worse offense then we did
