    this scares me. was it Watson who wanted to hitch his ride to Flores or was it mutual? I dont want another HC who wants nothing to to with our young, in-house QB

    He's done an admirable job, but I'd still prefer Daboll, and, I've come full circle on Desai. What would the chances be that a Daboll head coach/Desai DC could work? The bears ended up 6th in total yards on D.

    It's simple, stupid. Hire the guy who has an awesome offense and can scheme around talent AND has shown the ability to develop a young quarterback. It's the best odds out there. Stop horsefeathering around with defensive coaches who leave big question marks open on offense

    Ideally, he wouldn't deal with Fields too much. Hire a good OC and let them run the offense and stay out of the way/lead the rest of the team. that's exactly what I'm referring to, WHO would be the OC? In some cases, that becomes a harder question to answer than HC, particularity in Flores case

    Flores is not someone I would have thought would be available, nor did I think he would be a great choice when he did become available. However, I didnt realize his last two season have been 10-6 and 9-7. I'm really warming up to him, but how he would deal with Fields is my #1 concern.

    I can't see how they can let him go. I love to see what difference he and Mack can do when they are both healthy. Doesn't he have one more year? Or will it just be the franchise tag? He's signed through 2024, but all the guarantees are paid out. I could see him traded, especially if there's a clean FO sweep. I didn't realize he has that much left on his contract. But how often are worthwhile trades made? What could you get for him, a 3rd and a average DE? Why not just keep him at least through 2022 and worry about filling the other talentless positions rather then creating another hole?
