  1. I've got some news for you. save it, between covid, trump, putin, inflation I need some fantasy in my life
  2. Rumors are the Giants want Mitch and assuming there is a real possibility of starting, I'm sure he'd want to play under Daboll again. I still don't think Mitch will be all that great as a starter, but I'm absolutely terrified at the possibility of that happening. If that happens I'm going to Lake Forest and trashing Nagy's $6m home that's on the market. You're terrified of Biscuit becoming a great starter with the Giants? Lol. yes, because it would mean that the Bears are the fools, 100% and that is harder to swallow then the idea that Mitch just wasn't up to snuff
  3. My guess is Mitch Trubisky himself Wentz is a tough QB to commit to, my feel is the Colts wanted out early especially after a collapse down the stretch. His injury history is pretty serious: a concussion (those are forever) against the Seahawks during the playoffs in 2019 was immediately followed with leading the league in INTs and a sub-60% competition rate for 2020, the knee in 2017 cost him alot of athleticism, and there's some back and foot stuff mixed in too. He came into the league as one of the better athletes at the position but that's long gone... I wouldn't be surprised if they signed Mitch, I saw an article this morning tha stated he is (his agent) fielding multiple points of inquiry. He wasn't bad, and honestly not even really below average. HE was just average and Nagy sucked. I'm sure their are coaches/teams that think hes worth the trouble to take a chance on
  4. I thought he started the season strong but kinda flattened out https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WentCa00/gamelog/2021/
  5. horsefeathers GB, I'm glad that pissant lying sack of feces re-upped, I want him to be the QB when the Bears start beating the Packers. Wait the Bears are going to start beating the Packers at some point? wait, the Cubs will win the world series at some point?
  6. maybe not for long
  7. Fatty Matty's kind of an horsefeathers https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2022/02/18/matthew-stafford-los-angeles-rams-photographer-falls-super-bowl-jk-orig.cnn
  8. GO GOPHERS
  9. More like Alan Page, Joe Greene, or Reggie White than LT. Reggie is the only one I'd put next to LT or Donald
  10. Kinda bummed the bangles lost. I don't hate the Rams, but it would have been a pretty incredible run by Cincy
  11. Where's the "dislike" button? Is it me or does Adam Hoge' pose above remind one a little of Blue Oyster Cult' Agents of Fortune album cover? It's a 180 of the cover. Yes Also, horsefeathers the HOF voters
  12. so...he's a coaches coach
  13. scroll all the way down to the 1A rankings, thats my alma mater at #1. 74 kids in the ENTIRE HS this year, and it wasnt any bigger in 1992 when I graduated there go Hornets https://www.ihsa.org/Portals/0/APBKB-2-2-22.pdf?fbclid=IwAR1izYHNp9evQvqFBXIh1KybbFnFwmQRxiIJM6c2xSsSpfKFYYj91s_7xLw
  14. I don't think it is anything like Brady/Gronk. Gronk was a retired dude falling apart physically. Nobody was looking to sign him until Brady went to Tampa. Adams is the best of the best free agents. He'll go where the money goes, not where just where daddy goes. While I agree it's different, find me the team that doesn't have a QB and would turn down a Adams/Rodgers pairing where Adams is the highest paid WR. I doubt that team exists. It might not be an official package deal, but I'm sure they'll make their wishes known to said team. do we know that Adams wants to stay with Rodgers? Maybe hes also sick of A-Arons act maybe
  15. Do you think Rodgers would deliberately consider only teams that can afford / have desire to also bring on Adams? I think it's a good question, although I don't know we'd ever have visibility into that. It's kind of like Brady/Gronk. If he's going to make that move, he takes someone else he knows for a fact he can be successful with. I kind of think that's exactly what he'll do. Seems comfortable walking if not. i dont buy that. Any team that trades for Rodgers will also have to fork over a ton for Adams, and that team will mightily struggle to get them both under the cap unless they have lots of caps pace. I could see Rodgers and Adams going to different teams easier then I could see them both going to the same team not named GB
  16. well, we should have some really strong heads, that Loscalzo dude looks all business
  17. I thought I read they would save $5 mil if they cut him in June? I'd agree, $2 mil savings is probably worth taking a flyer on him. Cash savings vs salary cap savings? $2 mil cap savings if cut, $3.5 dead cap - I think I misunderstood the what $5 mil meant. In total, the Bears are in pretty good shape cap wise, but Cohen feels somewhat redundant with Grant, Herbert and Monty https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/tarik-cohen-21861/
  18. is he even a weapon at this point? Maybe, maybe not. But only 2Mil savings if they cut him. That's not a difference making amount. Might as well see if he is healthy this summer. If not, cut him then, no harm, no foul. But he's only 27 and was a dynamic player as recently as Sept 2020. I thought I read they would save $5 mil if they cut him in June? I'd agree, $2 mil savings is probably worth taking a flyer on him.
  19. I actually don't think he will. I think the new staff wants all the weapons it can get, and I think they keep him as a true gadget player, especially if they can't re-sign Jakeem Grant. is he even a weapon at this point?
  20. .. Bob Avellini. arent they both from about the same time period? I remember Avellini..but not fondly
  21. I believe the comment was more about how people assumed Byron Leftwich was a mobile QB, because of reasons, when he really wasn't much of one. this I understand, I was making more a comment on my age vs wrigleys in fact I'm almost to young to really remember Vince Evans, but...alas
  22. Warren Moon Randell Cunningham Don't remember but, wasn't Moon more of a pocket passer? Cunningham, on the hand, was certainly mobile and had a big arm. I took "athletic" to mean more just a scrambler, and Moon was one of the all time best QB's, period
  23. Warren Moon Randell Cunningham
  24. Can we dump Cohen?
  25. #-o And we thought the bottom for Derwood was jorts Curling rocks
