  1. the mind of cubbiebum i hate Texas Tech now because Shonn Greene was way more deserving of 5th place than Crabtree. Yeah cause that is what I said. Most sports fans dislike rivals of their team/favorite players. I dislike Heupel because he finished second in a Heisman vote with a 20-14 td-int ratio just as most of us dislike certain Cardinals players.
  2. Purdue won, although closer than I would like, and Hummel had a great game. His average is now up to 15.6 to go with 6.9 rebounds. He's averaging more points, rebounds, assists and steals than last year while playing a couple minutes less per game.
  3. If you still can't figure it out. Brees finished third in 2000 when he was the most deserving. Heupel finished second with an awe inspiring 20-14 td-int ratio. I dislike Heupel loads more than Weinke because at least Weinke had a good season.
  4. i can't figure out your heupel connection think of the year, who finished behind him and what team I like
  5. He's a high 200 hitter with decent power for his position, a good leadoff man who can steal 40 bases and he plays above average defense. Add in he plays a position that has probably the least amount of good players and you get a guy who can command 10 million a year. I wouldn't mind the Cubs getting him but don't fell like we need to. I would be fine with us not.
  6. I was already mad enough Bradford won it because I think McCoy should have but then he had to go and mention Heupel. Just about put my foot through the TV.
  7. Don't like it. Too plain.
  8. No I enjoy chanting, "Burrell, Burrell, Burrell ... YOU SUCK!" I don't want to miss out on that because we signed him.
  9. Plus, when Kerry Wood was throwing his simulated innings last year they were the ones batting against him. I wouldnt want to step into the box against him, no way. Your telling me you would not take a couple swings against Kerry Wood if you had a chance? I don't know if i could stand that close to the plate while he threw a 97 mph fast ball at me. I'd probably dive out of the way. Ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod oh? my?
  10. You can swap in Reggie Bush for OJ Mayo and either way the answer is no.
  11. His stats are better than Maualuga. Who should have gotten it over Laurinaitis? IMO, Aaron Maybin (Penn State) and Vontae Davis (Illinois) are better than Laurinaitis. I also think Maualuga is overrated (but he's better than Laurinaitis); I think Brian Cushing of USC is better than Maualuga. Pat Angerer (great last name BTW) of Iowa deserved it. He led the conference in interceptions and was tied for fifth in tackles. He's a linebacker so him having a lot of tackles isn't a bad thing like it would be for a cornerback. If you are one to not factor in team performance heavily then Brit Miller of Illinois should get it. He led the conference in tackles and unlike most the other leaders he had a large majority of them solo rather than assist which I think gives him a bonus. He also had 6 sacks which is the most of anyone in the top 20 of tackles. Either way you go Laurinaitis didn't truly deserve it and like most college awards won due to name.
  12. So Putz went to the Mets where does Boots go Sorry working on no sleep
  13. The top two are starters who are probably better than Fontenot. Plus they would never sign to be a backup. Obviously, either of them would start, with Font and Theriot taking turns starting. Most of the others would be as backups, with the possible exceptions of Durham and Punto who would platoon. Ah I took it as these are the possible backups for Fontenot. I would say Grudz is at least a platoon as well and probably a starter if signed. I would never ever ever want to see Craig Counsell bat for the Cubs. I would turn the channel every time he came up to bat. Not just because of his batting stance but also because I know it would result in an out.
  14. well you threw that out there pretty well for someone who has only played pick-up games
  15. The top two are starters who are probably better than Fontenot. Plus they would never sign to be a backup.
  16. If not the NL is in trouble.
  17. When the Royals spend money they need to spend it wisely. I guess they haven't learned that yet. I love Farns but with what he did in Detroit him getting nearly 5 mil per is pretty bad.
  18. Putz on the Mets won't last. His agent just said that Putz still considers himself as only a closer and believes he is still a top 5 to 10 one in the league.
  19. And Tebow has the most talent surrounding him. When it comes down to voting in the Heisman you have to nitpick. McCoy does both passing and rushing very well and is statistically better than Tebow in both IMO. If it was so easy to do than everyone would run that offense and McCoy wouldn't have the highest pass competition percentage of anyone since at least 2002 (farthest ESPN stats go).
  20. yeah, he's awesome against guys half as tall as he is, always has been. By the way people have been talking about him I thought he would be a very good player. I looked tonight he's averaging 8 pts, 4 rebounds and only shooting 44%. Not very impressive for a guy that size. He has loads of potential but he's not that good yet. Who's been talking him up? I've been harassing Sulley about him for the most part. He's maybe our 5th or 6th best player. I was going off of how there have been a hundred posts about the guy in this thread. I didn't really read them just skimming through saw his name everywhere. Looking back a lot of them were negative posts about him. I think I got the wrong idea during the preseason when people were talking about how good he could be. My bad. I'll go do hood rat stuff with my friend now.
  21. Tebow is seen as a dominant runner and he is. All I'm pointing out is McCoy is dominant runner as well. He beats Tebow in passing and is at the least close to Tebow in rushing. Texas beat Oklahoma. That along with all the other stuff makes McCoy the most deserving.

  23. So totals matter for production? They dont. Let's see Colt has a high completion percentage because of two reasons. One, half of his passes go for less than five yards. Two, no one plays pass defense in the Big XII and stopped around 2002 or so. II was comparing him to Bradford. They both play in the Big XII but Bradford's 68% thus why it is worth mentioning.
  24. McCoy should win because he punts and passes. Actually the reason I think he should win is because his passing stats are comparable to Bradford's. Not as many yards and TD's but also not as many attempts. Plus he has completed almost 78% of his passes. Rushing wise he is the best of the bunch. He has more yards than Tebow, a much better average and only 2 fewer TD's.
  25. I think they should have invited the running back who leads the country in rushing+receiving yards and rushing touchdowns. That might be the fan in me talking though.
