  1. Brewers kicked the crap of the Pirates and yet the Cubs can only manage 2 runs.... More things change, more they stay the same.
  2. Between game tidbit is that the Hawks are pushing to host the All-Star game and NHL Draft.
  3. Maybe next time, Kesler won't start crap he can't finish.
  4. There was a guy on the Scott Van Pelt show who gave an interesting thought, he said something along the lines that "it wouldn't surprise me if Lebron signs another 3 year deal. He would be just 28-29 years old when he becomes a FA again." I don't know if LBJ would go for another 3 yr deal, but what if.........
  5. Patience and optimism are a must, along with playing with a sense of urgency. I'm betting we will see a much better Hawks teams now that get out of Chicago and play in Vancouver for a couple of games. Sometimes getting away from home is just the ticket. But like most, I really hope in Game 3 the Hawks come out and put the Canucks on their heels and kick their Canadian asses.
  6. Will this be the game in which Lou does the unthinkable.............?
  7. If that how you get throught the day, is taking pot shots at me, then fine, but at least do it with some creativiity, and not as if you are still in 8th grade. Otherwise, I might confuse you with a White Sox fan.
  8. You're as funny as Jay Leno. so you find him hilarious then No.
  9. Billy Beane has been successful as a GM, but he is not regarded as the best GM in baseball. So being successful and being the best GM are not mutally exclusive. For instance, when Cashman eventual steps down as Yankees GM, will you consider the next Yankees GM the best GM if the Yankees continue to win? Being the best GM and being the most successful do not alway go hand in hand. But it often can. Krause wasn't in Cashman's position of having an unlimited budget to work with, yet he look at the results. There's no Chicago GM that even comes close. He was given a substantial payroll to work with. As for his abilities as a GM, they sucked. He pulled out a couple of moves out of his ass (based on part from his scouts, especially on Kukoc) and all of the sudden he is consider the best? Correct me if I am wrong, but who drafted Jason Caffey right in front of Michael Finley? Who drafted Fizer we the Bulls already had Brand? His later years as GM showed him for the fraud he was.
  10. I'm hearing rumors that Bubba Starling is close to committing to Notre Dame. Anybody else hear this?
  11. If you go back and reread what I said, and you will see I didn't give a candidate as to who is better. I take offense to calling Krause the best GM, when in reality he was just as terrible as other GMs in this town. But if push come to shove, then I would say Jerry Angelo has been as good if not better GM in Chicago (despite obvious flaws in his M.O.) then Krause. oh so you're really just talking for the sake of it, should have known Hey, you aksed. I know alot of people here don't like Angelo, but he has made some good moves, like Alex Brown, Lance Briggs, Charles Tillman, Bernard Berrian,Nate Vasher, Kyle Orton,Chris Harris, Devin Hester, then made a couple of solid signings, John Tait, Julius Peppers, and Thomas Jones, and even has made two risky trades; Wale for Booker, and Orton and change for Cutler. In other words, Angelo has been a better GM then Krause.

  15. Ehhhh....I wouldn't say that....He was the most successful, but the best..........I don't know about that. Your candidate for better would be whom? I don't have one...........but to call Krause the best GM Chicago team has ever had, is like saying Aaron Miles is the greatest ballplayer named Miles. Saying it doesn't make it true. I will call Krause the most successful GM, but he was a product of how good those Bulls teams were.
  16. Ehhhh....I wouldn't say that....He was the most successful, but the best..........I don't know about that.
  17. As for as I know, Chad Tracy has never played in the same organization with Edwin Jackson.
  18. IDK if expansion is needed in college football, but it sure looks like we might have the superconferences. And I am opposed to superconferences.
  19. No, I don't. Everybody and their mama's would had made the move on behalf of the Bulls. So it's not as if Krause "found" Rodman, SA gave him to the Bulls. So what credit is there to be had when another team essentially hands you a player?
  20. I will give Krause props for two moves, two moves only: A: the drafting of Horace Grant and B: The drafting of Olden Polynice that eventually led to the the acquisition of one Scot Pippien. Other then those two moves, Krause really had no hand in building that dynasty. Granted those two moves were big reasons why the Bulls were successful, but Krause got an overinflated ego based on the players who won. I think we saw the "Real" Jerry Krause: talent evaluator after the dynasty. I don't mind Jackson leaving, it's how he left which was basically being forced out by Krause/Reinsdorf. Krause self-importaant cause the Bulls, IMO, at least two more championships, because he felt he could build a new dynasty. Well, he found out, he wasn't as good of a talent evaluator/GM as he thought he was.
  21. Yeah, I heard Jeannie talking about how the Lakers probably can't afford to keep Phil Jackson if the Lakers don't win it all this season. Just another reason to root against the Lakers. In some ways I wouldn't mind seeing PJax ended his coaching career with the organization he should never have left. But on the flip side, I really doubt JR will shelled the dough needed to bring PJax back to Chicago, not to mention there is sog me speculation that the Knicks might come calling if Jackson does indeed becomes available.... But the Lakers would be stupid if they let PJax leave.
  22. if they don't get a goalie, next season will be pointless too so is price any good? I think if you get Price out of Montreal and their NY style media, I think Price would take off as a talent. I would take a shot at Price.
  23. Greg Oden is going to be the Sam Bowie of that draft. Sam Bowie....the guy PORTLAND drafted in front of Michael Jordan. That team is so cursed you'd think sulley was a fan portland has a modern championship, and they got aldridge while we got thomas Aldridge is a nice player, but he's not worth going gaga over. But..but he has a poker face.
