Soler's been out of a boot for several days, and has even said he feels like he'd be ready to return the day he's eligible to come off. They're probably taking it extra cautious with him. Don't think he needs a rehab stint though. No reason not to just put him back in the lineup when he's ready. You don't need a AAA start to prove your sprained ankle is healed. Unless they want him to work on some things with his swing...
you wouldn't care as in that would be awesome? I wouldn't care as in I don't care about the defensive drop off from Montero to Schwarber behind the plate for one game. Plus a lot of it is curiosity.
Yes to this video and yes to more comedic promos, please, even if they aren't all that funny. Nothing beats the Brewers push for Lucroy last year though... http://m.mlb.com/video/v33770085/cast-your-vote-for-lucroy-for-the-2014-allstar-game
It was a foregone conclusion that whoever signed Lester was signing Ross, not a surprise. And the amount of fielding opportunities a pitcher has in a given year is more important than his ability to pitch? So basically our pitcher is overrated because the Cubs signed David Ross and he doesn't throw to first base well? Makes sense to me. Trade him for big league chew.
