  1. Huh? He dresses like a dingus, but he's also the only rumor/trade reporter out there who, when he posts something, I tend to put 100% faith into it that it's true (meaning that the rumor he has heard is an actual rumor with some credibility behind it and not something he made up for clicks).
  2. I hope they let both Rizzo and Bryant do it. I know RIzzo said he wanted to last year, but Tulowitzki picked [expletive] Justin Morneau instead.
  3. Kole Calhoun's swing has a built in bat flip, does it all the time... http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/0/v231917783/laatex-calhoun-hits-a-threerun-homer-to-center
  4. Springer down, too. I will end up spending my two moves of the 2nd half on the same day
  5. How I feel about all you buttholes who still had a 2nd transaction left... http://media.tumblr.com/0903c248da0db9e9bdfd8f2c77acee15/tumblr_inline_mscnsfFmD11qz4rgp.gif
  6. Mubyake away from this is what looks like a Korean Baseball 2K video game AND I WANT TO PLAY IT
  7. This has already become the best thread on the entire forum.
  8. So as someone not living in Chicago, what's so good about his food?
  9. I'm gonna have to change the wallpaper aren't I?
  10. I swear to god if we lose 1-0 on some random Mets OF HR I'm breaking something Fingers, please!
  11. This made me laugh, but it's kind of a fun hypothetical.
  12. I sense a job interview with the Phillies in the near future for this one
  13. SLG for and against would be my guess. I'll use the loophole and say OPS for and against.
  14. Geez, I wonder where you got that one from. from sbanation Trading with the Cubs -snip- http://i.imgur.com/IOoTHlx.gif
  15. Xavier Scruggs may or may not be Dexter Fowler's clone... http://d3k2oh6evki4b7.cloudfront.net/images-014/headshots/e/ea5ddd09_mlbam.jpg
  16. Seriously though, why did we get a rush of troll Cardinals fans? Some 13 year olds from GRB get a wild hair up their ass and come over here to tell us they fucked our moms or something and report back?
  17. And Jon Niese might be the most boring acquisition ever.
  18. That's his penance for being a douche canoe and ruining Scherzers perfect game
  19. Right division, right handedness, wrong team and player The guy gets $9 mil next year... And $10 mil or a buyout? Can I hire his agent to work my next deal? That's seriously like the most common thing. Like nearly every contract with an option year has a buy out.

  21. Pretty sure he was always a Yankees fan. He was only a Sox fan in skits and movies.
  22. being close to the interstate doesn't necessarily make it easy or convenient for the large majority of the population to get to. i agree that the main problem is that the stadium is awful, but i think you still have issues drawing at that location even with a super-family friendly, modern ballpark I don't know how you could make stadium access any easier short of having an exit go directly into a parking lot. If Tampa residents don't like its location, it's only because it's not actually in Tampa, which is just sour grapes and laziness and goes back to the Florida fan mentality. I've actually heard a Rays fan complain that if they call themselves the Tampa Bay Rays, they should play in Tampa. I hate that argument, because Tropicana Field is literally like 10 blocks away from Tampa Bay. Tampa isn't even on Tampa Bay, it's on Hillsborough Bay. While I tend to agree having a stadium in Tampa would do better for attendance solely because of a larger concentrated population in the area, I think its current location is only a burden on Tampa residents because they're shitty fans about it. If you truly love a team, you won't let a super easy 30 minute drive to the stadium get in your way of supporting them.
  23. I wouldn't have minded seeing Russell at the top of the lineup today
  24. Syndergaard - for Castro? Why not ask them to throw in Matt Harvey, too? The fantasy bubble Cub fans are living in when it comes to Castro's value never fails to astonish. FWIW, Gammons floated the idea of Edwards and McKinney (plus "a young SS") for Tyson Ross. No idea if he completely pulled that out of his ass, as he's wont to do. But I would be very leery of giving up McKinney in that deal, since Ross is about as sure-fire a bet for TJS as anyone in baseball. I love Ross, but his numbers are weird this year. He's got a solid ERA and a great FIP and K/9, but he's also on pace to walk like 100 guys this season and he has 1.47 WHIP which is pretty bad. You'd think he's benefiting from Petco in half is starts... but his home ERA is 4.76 while his Away ERA is 2.91. Maybe you'd think with how many people he walks he must have a high LOB%. It's actually slightly lower than it was last year (73.6% to 75.1%). He's giving up nearly 9 H/9 and over 4 BB/9, but he has the best K/9 of his career and has also only given up 3 HR so far this season. He's kind of like the starting pitching version of Carlos Marmol this year, and that terrifies me, but I still like him.
