  1. He's gonna give this pitch to cueto but not lester? Okay ump. You dick.
  2. Seriously this is the only channel this game is on. Why the horsefeathers do they have this stupid angle? There's one camera well that's been used for decades. Use it you idiots.
  3. Stop zooming in on the batter during pitches you garbage camera ops
  4. Oh, who knew it'd be that simple. Okay, the Dodgers will be easy then.
  5. Also I'm just now noticing the turtle gif says "dat ass" . I did not notice that before. It's okay though, Lester is all sexy and horsefeathers.
  6. It's finally here, everyone. Game 1 of the National League Division Series. Tonight the Giants beat the Mets with a Conor Gillaspie 3 run homer in the 9th and a dominant Madison Bumgarner start. The worst part about this whole situation is how someone who spells his last name Gillaspie pronounces it like Gillespie. That's some amateur hour nonsense and his parents are dumb. Anyways, the Cubs have one of the front runners for this year's Cy Young going for us in this one. Mr. Jon Lester gets the ball as the Game 1 starter. Jon has a history of doing well in the playoffs, and I suspect given the Cubs elite glove dongs, the stellar pitching of Mr. Lester, and the laughable lineup of the Giants, Mr. Lester will make easy work of the lineup. Here's Mr. Lester's numbers for the 2016 regular season: Year W L ERA G GS CG IP BB SO ERA+ FIP WHIP H9 HR9 BB9 SO9 SO/W 2016 19 5 2.44 32 32 2 202.2 52 197 164 3.41 1.016 6.8 0.9 2.3 8.7 3.79 Here's a picture of Jon Lester being awesome: http://i.imgur.com/VAbSsmr.jpg?1 Look at him. All majestic and horsefeathers. Pumped up that he just beat the crap out of some team I don't know who, probably the Reds (EDIT: It was the Reds, apparently, if the attached page is to be believed). He's probably gonna be that way again when he faces off against this guy: http://i.imgur.com/KX5tFgH.jpg?1 "Oh mah Gawwwwwwwd gurl look at Jon Lester flexin them muscles in those pants!" Johnny Cueto is a guy who was good in Cincinnati, got traded to the Royals where he was garbage, then signed a big deal with the Giant this year where he remembered he was a good pitcher, so this might not be a cake walk for the Cubs offense. Here are his numbers from this season: Year W L ERA G GS CG SHO IP BB SO ERA+ FIP WHIP H9 HR9 BB9 SO9 SO/W 2016 18 5 2.79 32 32 5 2 219.2 45 198 147 2.96 1.093 8.0 0.6 1.8 8.1 4.40 It's all good though. The Cubs have been preparing for this all season. Unfortunately we have to deal with all the even year [expletive] narratives that are going to be flying around this series. Whatever, not worried. Here's hoping none of you get to start a game thread! Cheers! Keep winning, Cubs.
  7. paging The Logan Said on last page Ill have it up tonight. Not at home.
  8. Ill get the game thread up later tonight, guys. Not at home right now.
  9. This is horsefeathering amazing
  10. I was waiting to find out who we will play so I can make extra fun of whoever the opposing pitcher will be and make snarky references to the wild card game
  11. its awesome how many BAD opinions are in that article lol Probably my favorite
  12. Hey I won today! 16-3 to end the season. Rock and roll.
  13. Britton is perfect in save ops this year though and theres no one else in the rest of the field that's really running away with it. Britton is putting up an elite closer season when there isnt a clear cut cy young sp. Its a perfect storm for him to take it.
  14. You know, I really had hoped I wouldn't start another game thread in the regular season, since that would've meant the Cubs kicked a lot of ass. At least it came at the very end of the season with only a few games left, so they still kicked a good bit of ass. The Cubs are sending up the doombringer, Kyle Hendricks. http://i.imgur.com/M3LdsSH.jpg?1 I'll never get tired of that photograph. Kyle brings his major league leading ERA of 1.99 and puts it on the line against the Reds who have been the Cubs very best friend this season. They'll be going up against one of their new best friends on the mound, Robert Stephenson. You better watch out, or he'll getcha! Or not. His last time out against the Cubs Stephenson gave up 4ER in 3.2 innings of work. He comes into the game with a sparkling 6.27 ERA. He's actually considered a solid prospect and I'm sure he has a decent future ahead of him in the major leagues, but right now? This year? And at this point in time?
  15. That should be his Halloween costume every year. That's perfect.
  16. The defensive metrics on Trout baffle me. We all know whatever saw when he showed up in the majors. Griffey level defense. Two years later UZR had him as a -10 defensive CF'er. Was he really that bad or are the metrics just really flawed with a player like him? It baffles me how someone can go from generational defensive center fielder to average/below average without injury and long before he's reach his prime years.
  17. Good Carlos Gomez might be one of my favorite non-Cub players in baseball http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/0/v1191160283/miltex-gallo-beltre-in-awe-of-gomezs-moonshot
  18. It's completely blocked. This is a food and drink package for $150. Well guess who has two thumbs and is drinking 47 Bud Lights and eating 87 cocktail weenies.
